>>28885985I honestly don't understand why they even need to be that bright. Most of the country is lit up with street lights anyway. Even when pitch black normal headlights work fine. I was using 9007 halogens at the end of their life with a headlight out while driving through on a 2 lane road in a pitch black forest that was having controlled burns performed so smoke was everywhere while going 60-70 and it was totally fine. I was being blinded by faggots with ultra bright every few minutes

>>28886706This is kind of stupid. Old school headlights don't have any cutoff and are just as likely to strobe blind you as the other car goes over a bump or a hill. It's just not going to feel as bad due to the warm color temp. Modern headlights on modern vehicles blind you because the lights themselves are mounted so high up. It only gets worse as the other vehicle gets higher or your vehicle gets lower. Don't believe me? Go rent a 5 ton truck and take note of how often headlights blind you compared to your usual low to the ground clownbox.
