>little electric buzzbox>same length as a picanto>australia legal because of slightly flared wheel arches>29.6kWh battery>70kW/93HP motor>the bare minimum of tech (air con has actual buttons and dials, infotainment isn't obtrusive)>will probably be au$30k+>available in purple>coming second half of 2026actually extremely hype for this
>>28887879this would be based but with a motorbike tier ICE
>>28887879Ugly front, otherwise OK, if you don't need more car.
>>28887879>30k gets you this>30k used to get you a BRZ/GT86Yeah yeah inflation and all but tell you what hasnt inflated? Wages. Aside from that this looks cool, could see myself getting one.
>>28887879Yeah, I'll probably end up with that or the Twingo. The Honda E's cute but the range is abysmal, even for bongland.
>>28888003Honda E was also rather expensive. Not convinced you really need so many displays in a car of that size.I'm interested in the Super One but I'm not sure if we'll get in Europe before 2027, if at all.
>>28888109I thought it was already announced, it's gonna be called the Super-N
>>28888112with a sports package called the Hard-R
>>28888112That's Britain, not a LHD version for continental Europe.
>>28888109In Europe it'd have to beat the Twingo in price, which is gonna be really hard to do especially with the new EV incentives that reward local production.
>>28888214It doesn't necessarily have to be cheaper but it has to offer something else in exchange.Leapmotor T03 is a European (Poland) produced alternative that's notably cheaper than the Twingo.>new EV incentives that reward local production. It's more of a tariff on Chinese produced cars. There's no specific mechanism that disadvantages Japanese, American or Korean produced cars.
The new M1E category for small electric cars should allow them in UE. But they should also be build within UE.That also why Dacia produced a "cube on wheels" concept car.
>>28887879
>>28888279M1E is a lot bigger than Kei cars. 4.2m would not only qualify with the Twingo but also the Renault 4 and 5.
>>28887879this should've been their ev strat all along, not create bigass ev suvs. Should've been going after segments overlooked by tesla not compete against the fucking model y
>>28888317This was almost impossible until very recently due to battery prices.Though there were some small EVs like the Renault Zoe, these were still much too expensive for their size.
Does anybody know if the front seat can be folded down?
>>28887879>the bare minimum of tech>infotainmentAn ipad glued to the dashboard, two of them even, is not essential.
>>28888003>planning to buy an EVTraitor.
>>28887879>australia legal because of slightly flared wheel archesHuh? Is it not allowed to be any narrower? Oh well, not to worry. We'll have them all defected for that hoon bodykit soon enough.
>>28887879>will probably be au$30k+How many Dollerydoos to a real dollar?
>>28889430Its 0.7. So 30K Dollerydoos is 21K Murrica Bucks.I know how to search, I don't know why I ask these questions.
Europe has a ton of boxy barebones small battery EVs for low price.Nobody wants them. Sub 50 kwh battery isn't even an option.
>>28889452Which ones are still actively produced?VW eUp and friends aren't. Dacia Spring has a lot of issues beyond the battery size. The main alternative is the Hyundai Inster which is also a Kei-car derivative and has a 49 KWh battery.
>>28887879damn this mogs all other EV with how good it looks
>>28887889fpbpno V8 no buy
>>28889430>How many Dollerydoos to a real dollar? The real question is can their submarines stay submerged for more than 20min?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k870cg2E4LM
>>28887879I hate our fucking design rules. They keep out cars and motorcycles that make sense. Also fun fact our F150s and other yank tanks have a shorter wheelbase than American ones. If they were original American ones you would need a LR to drive it.I love this little electric car.
>>28887879>australia legal because of slightly flared wheel archesCan someone explain that for me ?
>>28891624We have minimum width requirements and length requirements. We used to get kei cars then the government wanted more money and legislate them out the country.ADR is a really long boring read, but you are more than welcome to bully us on our stupid choices.
>>28889788Leapmotor T03, BYD Seagull, Spring, Inster. I think these are all the ultracompacts available for purchase right now. Not sure if Twingo should be placed here, since it's a bit bigger than the others (though the Seagull is very close in size).
>>28891623>our F150sour f150s are rangers. ford sells them outside burgerland. and iirc rams and silverados are sold unmodified aside from the rhd conversion so they're the same size as their burger counterparts
>>28887879Is it FWD?
>>28891670BYD Seagull isn't available in Europe, instead the BYD Dolphin Surf is offered but that's 4m long and more in line with the Renault 5, VW id.Polo or Citroen e-C3Twingo is slightly shorter than the Inster at 3.8m.There's also the Fiat 500e and the Mini but those only have two doors so I wouldn't consider them in the same category.
>>28888317Absolute awful take. Subcompact EVs have been on market for a while and the sole reason they sell is flat purchase incentives favouring cheap msrp cars.EVs should be similar to regular ICEs to see, not small quirky vision products.
>>28889788E-208, E-Corsa, 500 E, Mini SE, E-C3, Puma EV, Renault 5, Twingo, MX-30, Spring and a ton of Chinese ones to add
>>28891748The MX-30 and Puma are huge. The only small ones on your list are the 500, Spring, and Twingo.I actually do want a small EV. There are problems with most of them-- the Spring seems alright, but the top speed is lower than the speed limit on the motorway. Old Fiat 500e and Mk3 Twingo EV both look great, but I'm not confident that they can make it the 120 km round trip (2/3rds at 140 kmh on the motorway) to my office and back during the winter with range to spare. The new 500e is ugly. I'm not going to buy VAGslop or chinkshit. So, for me, the new Twingo seems the obvious choice. If they sell it here, I'll also consider the Super-ONE.
>>28891636Are motorcycles and scooters still legal to ride in Australia?
>>28891760The Dacia Spring is chinkshit. It's build in China by Dongfeng and is sold under the Renault brand over there.Hyundai Inster is the main alternative in my eyes but it has a stupid name and the exterior design is a bit overloaded.
>>28891764Yes, abs needs to be on the front and rear wheel which reduces the amount bikes we get and makes the ones we get more expensive.Honda pulled their super cub and mini moto line out of spite.
>>28891775Does Australia hate Japan or something? You have no domestic automotive industry so those laws mainly seem to benefit China.
>>28891781The Australian government just hates Australians
>>28891781This>>28891784
>>28888109>2027The super one is gonna get fucking slaughtered by the twingo who'd probably have taken up a majority of the potential customer basealso 2027 will be the rape year for euro EV's because that's when xiaomi drops the SU7 and probably the YU7>>28888279M1E got fucked by goynault wanting to sell the R4 and R5 at cheaper prices, basically killing any hope for kei cars unless the japs sell them at dacia tier prices
>>28891810VW is also releasing the id.1 next year and Kia may come out with the EV1.Not everybody wants to buy a small EV right now. Personally I'm aiming at mid 2027. I'm not entirely sold on the Twingo either and it's going to depend on how fast the Slovenians can churn it out.Chinese brands are constantly prophesied to take over the European market but a lot of customers are sceptical and the governments have placed tariffs against them. The Xiaomi is in a rather different category as well.
>>28891834Same, if I do buy a smol EV it'll be either 26 or 27.>depend on how fast the Slovenians can churn it out.wat
>>28891839If you want to buy a car you don't want to wait a whole year until you can actually drive it. Right now the Twingo has a delay of 6 months and it may get worse if the production can't meet the demand. The BYD Dolphin Surf for comparison is 1 month. My local dealer has half of a dozen of them in stock.
>>28891772> The Dacia Spring is chinkshit. The profits are turned into euromarks and put in a European bank. I'd rather that than (for example) a Leapmotor, which is made in Europe, but the profits get converted into chingchong bucks and sent to China.
>>28892160Leapmotor belongs 51% to Stellantis.
>>28892166Wow. Good to know. What's with the Chinese name?
>>28892173Because is was originally a Chinese company and Stellantis only started acquiring them in 2023.Volvo is a Swedish name but the company is owned by the Chinese Geely. A lot of other European brands have Chinese companies as large shareholders. Buying Japanese or Korean may actually be the option to minimize RMB going to China.
>>28891772One problem with the Dacia spring is the shitty 1 phase charger, that can charge with 32A single phase, but not with 16A 3 phase, which is much more common in households and public chargers.
This looks like it'd be not only the only modern/new car I'd buy but also the only electric car I'd buy. It's not trying to be something it's not like every other EV, just looks like a cheap simple little commuter.
>>28891624The flared wheel arches resemble the Muslim crescent, therefore they're halal ...
>>28892166Even worse...
Au30k is 17,89k € btw
