Is it better to get a four door or 2 door ?

This one is fully loaded with the 5.3 / four wheel drive and towing package for 10k lbs, and I like its pretty neat and simple.

How old are you
>>

25 and what exactly does that have anything to do with the price of tea in china ??
>>

You're going to hate daily driving a single cab. It will also have no resale value because nobody likes them or wants one. Also don't spend fucking $30k on a 10 year old truck.
>>
>>28888686
Because your 25 years old now and your going to eventually meet a young lady who will fall in love with you and when the metals begin to heat up.
Eventually you’ll get her pregnant and then need to purchase a four door truck.

I daily my xlt ranger with roll up windows fine to 50 mile commute every day ?

>You're going to hate daily driving a single cab.
This is bullshit. I love daily driving my single cab. Resale value is not worth considering because you drive a pick-up until it is ready for the scrap yard. Getting married? Buy an SUV for your wife, she's the one who will be buying groceries and driving the kids around.

Young and stupid. Happened at 35 for me. I bought my wife a station wagon and kept my fun cars. Besides, kids love riding in the back of pick-ups.

Single cab pickups are a meme for terminally online neets and a penalty box for anyone who has it as their only vehicle.
Unless you’re just scraping pennies together, spend a little more to get a much more useable 4dr pickup. There are a few outlier cases where single cab might make sense (ie, towed behind RV, used for business purposes) but that’s not what we’re dealing with here.

crew cabs didn't become popular until the mid/late 2000s, lil zoomernigger. somehow people mad do with single cabs, back in the era when men were actually sucking and fucking pussy.

A long time ago back when men were men and the sheep were nervous.
Trucks were an essential part of society and not some sort of accessory to make other men feel inadequate.
>>
>>28888946
people could more easily afford multiple cars back then, and people started consolidating vehicle usage (i.e. less people have a work truck for only work). no one owns a regular cab pickup as their only running vehicle unless they're a khv or are broke as fuck. if you can only afford one vehicle, it's not ideal to make it a 2dr truck

I can't be only one to have grown up in a regular ass car with siblings, most trucks then didn't even have a crew cab option unless it was bigger than a half ton

>one fucking chart
>data only to 2011
excellent, super helpful thanks. now what about the increase in car loan defaults, rising used car costs, and massive loan term increases in recent history. sure points to people being able to easily afford multiple vehicles

i have 30 minutes of shitposting before my next meeting, i'm not going to waste it dissecting your incorrect claims line-by-line.

someway, somehow people made due with single cabs prior to the mid 2000s. they're now considerably less popular than mcdoublecabs because Trucks™ have become lifestyle accessories.

this means manufacturers preferentially manufacture crew/extended cab trucks to align with the purchasing habits of their fat retard customers. manufacturers can then charge more money so as to boost profits (because they're now lifestyle accessories), and also support the increased costs to consumers by, as you correctly said, extending loan terms.
>>
>>28889032
you're missing the forest for the trees. every statement made in this one post is accurate, but completely unrelated to the point that people cannot comfortably afford multiple vehicles like they used to, and that a 2dr is impractical as your one and only vehicle. never said they were shit, so you don't need to defend them, especially against pavement princesses

the only guys I know that grew up in a pickup either had a family vehicle to toodle around in, or were in bumblefuck nowhere and their dad couldn't afford more than that one truck. they "made do" because they were broke as fuck
>>
>>28888688
>Also don't spend fucking $30k on a 10 year old truck.
Thats just the going price. would you suggest he spend $60k on a new truck instead?
>>
>>28888682
>2 door
>6ft. bed
Kinda the OK'ist of both worlds. If you have a family, you'll want 4 doors. If it's for you and doing lots of yard/house work, the 6ft bed is a pain in the ass.
>>
>>28888682

Why would you spend $27,000 on a 10 year old truck when you could spend $10,000 on a 20 year old truck that would be more reliable?
>>
>>28889410
>If you have a family, you'll want 4 doors.
If you have a family you'll want another vehicle that isn't a truck
>>
>>28888689
>assuming he'll reproduce
What if his woman can't have kids or he chooses not to have them? Most SUV, pickups and family cars I see on the road, never have anybody in the back, let alone children.
>>
>>28889425

This. 2006 toyota tundra. Even the access cab can fit a car seat
>>
>>28889069
>That's just the going price.
Yeah because fucking retards line up to pay that much
>would you suggest he spend $60k on a new truck instead?
I would suggest he spend $40k on a new truck instead. If $10k is a deal breaker then he shouldn't be spending $30k on a vehicle.

>>28889442
Have you followed every one of these people around for a month to see if they really never "use" their vehicle? Oh and have you taken your sports car to the track today?
>>
>>28888689
Do you also have a Dark horse mustang?
>>
>>28889052
>people cannot comfortably afford multiple vehicles like they used to
NTA, but that is the exact opposite of what the graphs show, more households have multiple vehicles than ever.
>>
>>28889553
>have you taken your sports car to the track today
That's a false equivalency and you know it.
>>
>>28888682
$30k for that? LOL holy shit bro you are dumb.
in 3 years that'll book for $15k or less

do urself a favor and cop a double cab.
I've rented single cabs before and they'd make miserable DD's
>>
>>28889553
>Yeah because fucking retards line up to pay that much
Oh I see, if only all several million cars bought for that price weren't bought for that, then we'd have lower prices somehow.
>I would suggest he spend $40k on a new truck instead.
You need to go truck shopping. The only $40k new truck you're buying is a maverick and its now towing the same loads as a V6 1500. Then again I don't think we know what he's doing with it.
>>
>>28889427
Damn dude, OP isn't made of money, if he's posting here. If he lives in the country and owns a home, a truck is damn near mandatory. Either that or you'll be renting one, by the hour.
>>
>>28890250
If you can't afford two cars you can't afford to raise a family.
>>
>>28888682
Imagine paying 30 grand for something that is going to shit its lifters and rot out in 10 years
>>
>>28890257
Maybe she drives a car and he drives the fucking truck?
>>
>>28888682
Jesus dude you can by a NEW Silverado 2dr for that price!!!
