If I keep it at 60mph I get 42mpg in my Focus. Most times I just stay 70-75 and average out 38 to 39 mpg. Don't need a new car just for MPG. The Festiva and other economy 90s cars will do it too.

My wife has a BMW X1 with the 2.0 turbo 4banger. She can get over 400 mile range. And that's with the auto stop/start not working properly. But If I drive it I fuck up the mpg estimates.
