What do you think about the 911 996? It worth it?
nah. the non turbo or gt3 models grenade their own engines, the interior is abysmal, and they don't have the performance of things in the same price bracket. they were worth it pre-covid when you could scoop up a turbo for like 40k

Hell Porsche even has updated new head units for the 997 to bring them up to modern standards while still looking period appropriate (knobs and buttons). So yeah, looks are subjective but valid criticism of 996/986 but hardly "a good chunk of the 21st century"

>>28890960^true. the biggest "problem" with the headlights back in the day was that they were shared with the boxster (as was the entire front half of the car) but porsche was about to go broke if they hadn't gone with extreme parts sharing like this. Mine has the late 99 headlights without the massive orange section so they never really bothered me.
