Thoughts on the Suzuki Samurai?
I think it's cute af, but wondering how she handled the urban area as well as the rural (I commute between the two often)
This or something similar that could do the 4x4

Well they're old like about 30 years old so if you don't mind restoring a bunch of stuff then it'll be fine to daily once it's fixed to a reliable level.

My dad had one as his commuter/off-road vehicle. It was a little mountain goat and could go anywhere he felt like going, except the highway. When he bought it in the 90s they were cheap as fuck. Now they're hella expensive for what they are.

Anyway, some illegal in a goddamned Grenada hit him going the wrong way when he was coming home from work. Little shithead fled across the border the next day.

Samarai I are adorable and easy to wrench and come with a robust aftermarket

Don't take it on the freeway, I leaves its comfort zone around 55mph

Good on gas, better offroader than most but nostalgia runs up the price to absurdity.

These are not reliable trucks in 2026 . Rough ride that gets rougher at speed and if rust is a local problem, These poor thing will be more rust that truck in most cases

Spending anything more than 3k would be.. rather daft. Either way, you good taste homie

You can get a similar experience from a Vitara/Tracker/Sidekick if you're struggling to find Samurais (who are we kidding, you're never actually going to buy anything)
They sold a few more of these, they're a little more comfortable and better at highway speeds. Still pretty small though

>Little shithead fled across the border the next day.

There are no "borders" like that in Grenada. Unless you mean he fled the country.

I had one for a while, although mine was a total POS it was still very fun to drive around town. Don't expect to go over 55mph. It was not a comfortable vehicle at all.
