Sus
>>28892063Not rly. Most manufacturers have settled on 500cc per cylinder which is sad.
>>28892063Age of Grand Touring cars being sold? Perhaps a 2 door, 2 seater, hard top generation? Now if Stellantis comes out with a coupe with their 450hp TT i6 for not $250,000 like those 2 cars we could have a good time as car enthusiasts. >muh stellantisYeah before your spergs get upset about a brand you don't like doing something kinda fuckin rad, its just the first i6 I could think of for the "everyman" price tag. BMW aint it and I can't think of anyone else with an i6 ready to go.
>>28892063they are like this because the engine is behind the front axle to get rid of the shitty FR understeer. the Toyota was also based off of the AMG that came before this one
>>28892063Literally don't care, <$50,000 or bust. Ok, maybe <$80,000 these days, but still. This isn't even funny anymore.Call me poor, I don't give a fuck, even a new Civic now requires 120k+ income, a new Civic with a magic R requires 200k+ at least. Goddamn.
>>28892087>He makes sub 300kngmi
it's a homologation car and the BOP rules in GT nerf the advantages of MR/RR layouts
>>28892089>He makes sub 300k>ngmiThat's pretty accurate these days, maybe 200-250k is fine if very early and/or some inheritance. I know 200k-250k households that do ok, but mainly because of 2-10 mil from grandma, so they live off of 100% of their salary. It's enough for them to have a house, kids, 100k lake house, ok cars, and take a vacation or two occasionally. Again, this is with a 0% non-401k (and you know those limits are low as shit) savings rate.>>28892098Could you tell us more? I don't really give a shit about these cars since you know, money.MR2 might come in under 80k with over 400bhp though.
>>28892123FR gives you better tire wear and more neutral handling, but the car weighs more. Overall it's at a disadvantage in racing, however in GT racing the MR/RR cars get ballast penalties to make it more competitive. On the street, none of that shit matters and it's just subjective preference really.
I miss these old girls already.
>>28892078Every modern high end FR is just piggybacking off a design the viper already perfected. the original SLS AMG used a viper as a base to come up with its own design. the Viper was the most successful FR in motorsports history and manufacturers are all still banking on it.
>>28892266>Viper was the most successful FR in motorsports historyPost a single source.
>>28892077>Now if Stellantis comes out with a coupe with their 450hp TT i6About that...
>>28892271It would be easier for you to post an FR you think is more successful, so i can tell you why you're wrong.
>>28892271>>28892277The AC Cobra for example, is just a less successful precursor to the Viper. the Viper is what the Cobra would've been if Corral Shelby made his own car with the backing of a billion dollar company instead of using a donor on a shoe string budget.
>>28892245we will all miss the 6L V8what N/A cars even remain in GT3? The RCF is on its way out, the R8 is gone, the Huracan is being replaced by the Temerario... It's just the Corvette and Mustang
>>28892289wait I forgot Porsche lmao
>>28892281>CorvetteGM didn't even want this car racing for most of his existence. I have no doubt it could've surpassed the viper, but it didn't quite do so over the span of the C5/C6/C7 years it was factory backed.>SLS AMGGood, but never came close to the Heights of the Viper. actually, as i write this. AMG still hasn't even won as many Nurburgring races as the Viper, let alone brutalized the course as much as the Viper did to the point of causing a major political shitshow that had to be taken to the highest courts to be settled.>AMG GTGood again, but never came close to the heights of the viper.>Shitboxes like the mustang, E30, Miata, etcmost of the races these won were in grassroots racing, not high profile FIA stuff against Ferraris and Porschas. the Viper receive as much as 1100 lbs of success ballast more than any FR or any race car in existence. that is how far ahead of the competition it was when it came out.
>>28892295Orecachads we just cannot stop winning
>>28892295I can't help but notice that your post completely neglects to mention the car that the person you're replying to was actually talking about.
>>28892300Which car? the AC Cobra? i already addressed it. this>>28892281 is my post, too.
I hate it. The old GT/Black Series mogs it.
>>28892274Sorry, you are technically correct but I meant something smaller and lighter than a 3/4ton pickup truck.
>>28892281>if Corral Shelby made his own car with the backing of a billion dollar company instead of using a donor on a shoe string budget.Carrol Shelby. He also made the Daytona and fixed the GT.
>>28892087Anon, I made $112,000 in 2025.I have $4,021 a month free flow cash.$4K I can blow on anything and still pay the bills. You can buy a Type R with a 40K salary easily.Assuming you haven't been a good GOY and racked up debt and a high cost of living.

Toyota had a 4l V8 in 1989.
>>28892063>Toyota let's all of its OE partners (Subaru, Daihatsu, Mazda, Suzuki) get a badge engineered version with their own drivetrain Who makes the best one?
>>28892274The only challenge would be not making it weigh 4500 lbs like everything else they make.

Why does the GR GT look weird? It doesn't look bad, but something is proportionally off.
>>28896921it looks like a slabit's got the same kind proportions as the SLS lengthwise, but it looks taller and squarer. probably because the door has no relief to break the side of the car
>>28896921>>28897383Pretty much flat from headlights to taillights, it has a perfectly level beltline. It will probably look good as a racecar with livery and everything. But in that semi roadcar style it looks very strange.
>>28896921it looks weird because it actually looks good compared to modern slop
