Anyone ever used this? Did you use a broker? Looking for some le epic JDM wheels for my hachiroku
>>
You really need a broker, most sellers won't ship outside Japan or accept USD.
I've used Buyee, pretty simple overall and I've never had issues with them. Might want something more specialized for large freight items like wheels

Not impressed with this search feature

Yes, plenty of times. Use 'From Japan' for small items. Import Monster for big stuff. I'm in Australia.

I've bought multiple wheel sets from them before through buyee. Shipping was in the $800-1000 range for a set of four 17s, no tires to the US. I wouldn't even try it now, as that was pre Trumpshit. Even trying to buy small, lightweight items through buyee is now 4-6x as much in shipping as it was 12 months ago. Fuck this gay earth...

$800cad all in for a set of these beauties to my door in Canada via surface mail. I used a proxy that bid on them for me. After winning they were shipped to his place, where he repackaged them and sent them to me via ship. Took about 2 months. The wheels were ~$450cad and the shipping was ~$300. Paid about $50 in fees to the proxy. I'm not sure if surface shipping is available to the US tho, cause the US sucks ass

>international shipping is as much as the item
>stateside "JDM" resellers asking retarded prices
>marketplace is a wash, sometimes a random set of good wheels 6 hours away
>ebay also suffers from shipping prices

I used it twice back in 2009 for my Infiniti Q45. A bird took out my fog light and there were none available in the whole country. I found a broker to get a fog from a JDM infiniti Q45 and had it shipped over. Broker fee cost the same as the foglight lol. I also used the same broker about 6 months later for a set of discontinued Epsilir springs and a replacement CD changer for the same car. Pretty smooth process altogether.

What's the big deal if shipping is equal to or more the cost of the item if it still ends up cheaper than buying domestically? Shipping stuff is expensive, not sure why the shocked Pikachu something coming from the other of the world costs some money to ship.

It's more just selection than anything, I think I'll keep lurking marketplace for treasure
