I am LGBT and I enjoy compact crossovers and reading about the latest updates to the various models of them.

every other driver of this truck is gonna be a beaner, MAGAtard with sunglasses and goatee, or corpo goyim
>>
>>28899042
ain't a truck
>>
>>28899046
What makes it not a truck?
>>
>>28899048
unibody construction, no bed
its the "off road" trim of chebby's compact crossover offering
>>
>>28899052
I see
>>
>>28899055
it looks cool and the feature set seems nice (you actually get skid plates) but the engine is a shit:
175hp 2L 4banger and apparently the suspension tuning and braking are not so great:

Terrain AT4 owners will also pay a daily driving price for the off-road suspension tune and those bigger tires. The former makes the ride excessively floaty on pavement and can lead to increased roll in bends. Meanwhile, the latter ruins any semblance of steering feel and can make slowing down hard far less predictable, with multiple editors noting excessive shimmy under heavy braking.

How is the Escape Bronco Sport Edition any better
>>
>>28899060
who said it was
>>
>>28899060
The chebby is a much newer design with, imho, a much much nicer interior (the new chevy interiors aren't that bad, though the materials are still cheap and scratchy)
escape/bronco sport dates back to 2017, chebby equinox/gmc terrain twins date to 2024

I would assume the chebby is a bit roomier inside.
I think the Bronco Sport CAN be optioned with a very real off road option package that's more comprehensive (sasquatch) than anything else in the compact crossover universe, but the base engine and suspension aren't really different from the ford escape, its just "cute-ified", and most people probably don't order the off road suspension package or the turbo engine upgrade and the standard engine is dare I say it probably slightly worse than the one in the chebby but I suppose ive never seen them directly compared that I can remember

oh yeah i totally forgot the escape/bronco sport base engine is a 1.5L three banger so that's awful

so I guess offroad wise the top trim "badlands" and chebby terrain "at4" off road trim are kinda the same - recovery hooks and skid plates but the bronco sport is promised to have upgraded suspension but in neither case do they explain what that specifically entails we would need sarah n tuned to look under them to figure it out

you know honestly I can't figure out what exactly the sasquatch package has other than vague reinforced bumpers
car magazines are really shitty at clearly explaining specifics
>>
>>28899060
ok so this is what the sasquatch package is
although they don't make clear what the hoss 3.0 system involves I am gonna assume its fox dampers but you'd think they would say that

Dude probably thinks my minivan is a truck, too.

i sure hope its the v6 one

they are better than trucks in most ways if you don't tow

Sure is.

BASED
Do you have kids?
Did you get a higher trim so it has the hands free driving? Best feature.
>>
>>28900307
Mid tier trim, can't remember the name. It does have the lane assist that practically drives itself. It has so many subtle luxery features that I just love. I 3D printed some rail l inserts for the seat tracks to keep dirt out then added carpet. Very comfy.
>>
>>28900427
>Mid tier trim
you probably don't get the 360 cameras then, those seem useful on such a large vehicle especially

so you don't have kids?

it has the same awful climate knobs as mine!
WHY WOULD YOU NOT MAKE THEM BIGGER AND ADD KNURLING AND A DETENT
>>
>>28900432
I have 3 kids that squeeze in there. No 360 cameras. It's the EX trim. I don't like how the knobs are for both the audio and temperature. I'll probably put the 2" lift on it when baby is old enough to actually start taking places. Hope you got a screen cover for yours - I've seen two others that had stretches/coating wearing off where the screen was touched a lot.
>>
>>28900447
>I don't like how the knobs are for both the audio and temperature
I mean it doesn't really matter to me cuz I adjust the audio with the steering wheel but it certainly would be annoying if I had to be a passenger

>No 360 cameras
they are SO NICE

hmm no, honestly I don't touch it that much except to input nav destinations and even then I usually use voice control unless there's no reception

>I'll probably put the 2" lift on it when baby is old enough to actually start taking places.
I feel like that's gonna fuck up the suspension and the driver assists
I wish I could replace the coils on mine they feel cheap tho maybe its 70k miles and they need to be replaced

I put all terrrain tires on mine and it does go anywhere esp. with the center diff lock button (oh wait you don't have AWD), but still all terrain tires will do a lot

the AWD is genuinely useful for rough roads and rain too bad carnival doesn't offer it

>I have 3 kids that squeeze in there.
they should make a carnival xl that's 8 inches longer
I saw the grand highlander and even that isn't that big compared to a suburban

What did tranon mean by this?

me too

>>28900587
give us back metallic forest green
you cannot get a nice bright dark green metallic anymore at all
I feel like most car paint should have way more shimmershit in it than it does. I hate flat cream paints I'm sure they are cheaper but look awful.
>>
>>28899048
I have a body on frame suv, it's a wagon as far as insurance is concerned
>>
>>28900647
the law in my state says that any vehicle legally classified as a station wagon (this includes suvs) is allowed to park in a loading zone for up to 15 mins so if you get a ticket for parking in it you can contest it
>>
>>28898991
>i am lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans
arent the first two kinda redundant then
