Never used to get back pain, but I recently bought an M340i and my lower back starts to hurt after like 30 minutes of driving. What gives? I thought these were supposed to be luxury. I'm a fit 28-year-old.

Have you tried to limit your bottom full nelson anal gangbang sessions to 2 a month.

i have similar vehicles and am a fit 38 year old and have no problems. do you have some kind of issue like a bad disc, sciatica, scoliosis, etc? do you not deadlift or do any lower back exercises? do you sit in an office chair all day? also check your lumbar settings on your seat.

Sounds like youre speaking from experience, man.

Well you said bmw owner, and zoomer, and "fit"
Pardon me for assuming the obvious.

I do heavy squats and deadlifts. My back does get destroyed by the plane I fly, but that never really translated to my drive to and from work in my last car.

How exactly am I supposed to be setting up the lumbar support? I've never tried messing with it until now, and it all feels weird. I've just been driving with it fully deflated this week.

Shitty seats. I sometimes get that in merc.

i would extend it all the way out. it might feel weird at first especially if you're used to slouching in your office chair or plane seat, but it will help reinforce good posture and will give you the support you probably need. if you're deadlifting heavy then it shouldn't be too bad though since you should have a strong lumbar and decent posture at least most of the time already. the M cars even the M lite ones are geared more towards sport than luxury with regards to suspension and ride quality.

37, never worked out, 140 lbs, drive a 90s Miata, was a warehouse worker for years, zero pain ever. Maybe having bad posture is a good thing?
You might want to get that checked out.

Start jacking around with the seat functions, particularly the lumbar support bladders, then drive it like that for a week and see what happens. Give each change A WEEK.

Age 30-50 is the age range where the center of your discs are still fluid enough to herniate out thru the fibrous perimeter.
When that happens and pinches a nerve root it's excruciatingly painful.
Be careful to have excellent form whenever lifting weights, tools, girlfriends.
The lumbar spine wants to be extended (lumbar lordosis). A lot of lumbar spine pathology is helped with extension stretches (think cobra stretch). Pressure on the discs increases a lot with leaning forward. It's extremely high when leaning forward and lifting weight. Your lumbar support on your seat should be arching your lower back back (lumbar lordosis). Get an extra lumbar support for cars that dont have good seats.
With aging, the spine tends to lose its lordosis. Preserve what you have while you have it.
You don't want to be one of the people who needs spine surgery. Take care of your posture.

back pain is fake, it's purely in your mind
>inb4 but i have herniated discs
herniated discs don't cause back pain
read picrel and heal yourself

go do some PT immediately and do it for life.
back pain sucks.
mine was ramping up over the course of a year and I thought nothing of it.
then I wrestled with my toddler and bent in some dumb positions...and now my l4/l5 is fucked. no herniations, but bulging + stenosis, that has taken ~8 months to become "tolerable". I'm at the point where I really hope stuff like disgenics goes through it's phase 3 trials quickly and I can get some of the disc height back.
My shit is MOSTLY tolerable, but I need to lose weight. That'll help. My thoracic is already mostly fused due to scoliosis surgery (they do it differently these days, RIP), really don't want more of my spine fused.

Are you driving with a wallet or phone in pocket? That can set your pelvic at a tilt and cause back pain.
