I got rear-ended in my last NA by a college chick in her Explorer going 30-40 when I was stopped.Didn't get a bruise but sent that miat to the shadow realm.What will be will be, they are obviously more-likely to get you killed in an accident but not necessarily. It's whatever, I bought another one.

My daily is different roadster with more HP, my first ever car was a 1990 Miata. And I owned a few Miatas after that. Biggest advantage in avoiding accidents comes from the awareness you get in a small roadster, especially if you drive with the top down

>>28902257It's definitely scarier driving a miata now than when I got my first in '08. Your roof is below many of the windows of cars around. Your advice is sound. Stay out of blind spots and expect that people don't see you. It helps that they're fairly loud and bassy stock.
