I wanted a 5th Gen 4runner, or a FJ cruiser but the prices that people want for them used I don't see as worth it. I also Damn sure dont want a Gen 6 4runner. Anyone have experience with a Mazda CX 50? Im not going to be doing anything Hardcore at all.
>>
Just get a 4th gen. You can get a damn clean low mileage 4.0 SR5 for under 20k.
>>
Get a Frontier
>$20k for a 20 year old mass produced suv
Jeebus.

They hold their value for a reason, kiddo. See how much your Nissan is worth in 5 years, let alone 20.
This was a 30k truck 5 years ago. 5 years from now it'll be 15k.
Or you could get a 4Runner at the bottom of the curve and if anything sell it for a profit later

>he cares about resale
lol, fag

The CX-50 is not an "offroader" in the sense that a 4runner or cruiser is. Meridian Edition is basically just different wheels and is not any more or less off-road capable than any other CX-50 (all CX-50's have AWD standard).
As far as compact SUV's go its pretty nice but that is a different market segment than what you're discussing. CX-50 is more comparable to like a subaru outback.
Anyway my wife has put almost 50k miles on her meridian addition. 0 problems of any kind just regular fluid and filter changes.

does it come with a manual or zf8? if not: don’t bother

mazda uses the their own "skyactiv" transmissions. 6-speed in FWD applications & 8 speed in RWD (for the CX-70 90). Uses a weird combination torque converter\wet cluch, feels pretty good to drive. Kinda similar feel to a DCT

it’s slow as shit in manual mode

Im tired of subarus especially their interior im not a fan of. The CX-50 is the market Segment im looking for. I just know that the Toyotas I mentioned usually last quite a bit and i like the after market parts for them. Ty for the information!

Im not a fan of Nissan unless we are talking 1980-1990s sports cars. I was looking Xterra but everyone in 200 miles is rusted to shit.

>Uses a weird combination torque converter\wet cluch
that's not weird you retard that's how a torque converter clutch works on every single automatic car ever made

Eurofags always trying to push their Euro shit. I have good credit and dont want your plastic cooling system component failures, oil filter housing gasket leaks, and potential vanos solenoid problems. To then pay a fuck ton to fix it.

Stelvio.

CX-5 since it's not built in Mexico. Stelvio is cool too if you have a dealer close to you.
