I am struggling to understand why anyone would ever buy one?>10% of mustangs sold in australia were ecoboostFor what reason are they buying them? If it is price a used mustang gt with 20,000 or less km is cheaper If it is fuel economy that also makes no sense as they use about the same amount of fuel or more than a gt unless the only driving you do is in town. Are women buying them because they are scared of a v8?
>>28907386they are actually underrated but they are weirdly expensive and hold their value too well.An ecoboost mustang is arguably better than a gr86
My thoughts exactly. It's why here in bong, they no longer sell them as they found 85% of Mustangs sold here were GT's. It's the same with the F-type. Why anyone would take the 4cylinder ingenium engine over the V6 or V8, it's pointless. If you want a 4cylinder sports car, get an MX5/Abarth 124 or an Elise.
It's a good car. If it was called anything other than the mustang then you would love it. Its only flaw is that it has to always be compared to the V8. And the price difference is big enough that upgrading to a GT isn't exactly trivial. It's an ~$12k upcharge. That's a considerable amount of money
>>28907386>as cheap as a used car when new.>better fuel mileage in city driving>better fuel mileage in congeated rush hour freeway drivingYoure not the sharpest knife in the drawer....
>>28907477>Car synonymous with V8's>Their only major selling point>Only reason they are purchased beyond the USNo, I want the commuters car engine so I can larp that I have a mustang and ignore every other sports car out there so I can pretend.
>>28907486ToBH, it would be goated with a turbo-I5 and a manual, or a downsized 3.0L V8 for non-US markets. With modern tech, 5L is just too powerful unless you have access to a race track, and adding pigfat on the car just to tame the surplus power is frankly stupid.>inb4 just get a hot hatchBut I want a big car, not a boosted supermini
>>28907386GTs are much more expensive because owners don't need to pay CTR gap insurance.Non-GT Mustangs all inevitably get gapped by the Civic. The emotional damage from this and it's consequences have been disastrous for the Mustang community.
>>28907386Poos and rental fleets
>>28907525I'm not sure how well a 3.0 would sell in non US countries. Because it's V8 or bust it seems for the mustang.>Big non hatchThat's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask for. Problem is saloons are dying out, and the main ones left are German. I'm not going to suggest an suv to you because i'm not that much of a fag. What are the other burger brands offering such as cadillac, lincoln etc. i know there's also a 2 litre Camero but that feels like the same thing as the mustang to me. V8 or go home.
you may in fact be surprised by this, but quite a few people do not care what engine is in their car. Patrice O'Neal had a bit about black people and V6 Dodge Chargers that is relevant.
>>28907386women and queers
>>28907486Mustang has never been a sportscar. It debuted with a base model 170c.i. I6 with 105bhp.Fox body 5.0 V8s were 205-225hp, supra I6s were putting down the same HP at the time.2015 naturally aspirated V6s were 305hpThe current 2.3L ecoboost is 310hp.The '83/'84 Turbo GT was a 2.3L, same with the "84-'86 SVOs.We dont give a shit how its perceived by third worlders. The Mustang is filling the niche it always has.
>>28907386The real world isn't as autistic about V8s. They perform better than even some older V8s.
>>28907578>Never a sports carCheers captain obvious. Tell us something new. >W-we don't careObviously, you buy 4 cylinder canal boats so you can larp. While the rest of the world only bought the V8. Says more about you than us.>>28907681Interesting, because the mustang that sells is the V8.
Is the eco boost any good. Do they do 300k miles?
>>28907738Does your shithole country even build cars?
>>28907741If you loved the focus RS engine, you'll love the mustang engine
>>28907457>arguably betterboth blow engines but one is 3500lbs the other is 2700lbs >>28907458its kind of the same reason why your average bmw/merc is a top level trim in america. we dont get the small engine cars like you and the base models here are your mid spec models (bmw wont sell any less than a b48 230i/330i here for example) theyre seen as luxury cars>>28907741theyre okay if you keep them stock but if you start beating on them they blow up
>>28907742Yes. And like US cars, they use to range from being poorly made shitboxes but with less plastic but worse electrics. To absolute autistic greatness made in a shed. Where your shithole hosts all the hill billies driving in a circle, my shithole hosts 90% of the tossers in F1 teams.
>>28907750>Merc/bmw specYeah I kind of forget that's the case, which is why you guys jump to nip cars for that stuff. I can kinda see why the mustang/camero 2.0 sell in the US and not here. The market is overly saturated and most people here if they want a burgermobile it needs to be the V8 version. Shame you're after something bigger, otherwise some form of sports car might be the trick.
>>28907386its cheap and rwd and has more power than the average bmw in europe and certainly more power than a similarly priced bmw lmaothat being said they mostly sold v8 models in europe, ironically
>>28907776>its cheapway too cheap, especially for the money they want for that pos
>>28907386They are one of the two fs Faggots or females.
6cyl, and even 4cyl options have been a part of the Mustang lineup since inception. Just because you're ignorant, doesn't change reality.
