No we don't. You can just use an Express and a trailer or take two crew cab pickups. Mines and large scale O/G operations just use school buses to shuttle workers around.

when you consider the price you pay for each, they are more comparable than you think.

base suburban (60k min) vs base minivan(38k), if you are using it solely for hauling kids around, is not worth an extra $20k. the gains come in with all the “truck stuff” like tow capacity and 4wd and a V8, which again, if you’re using it just as child transport, makes little sense to spend extra money on unless you plan to keep it forever
