They keep making the ugliest cars on the planet yet people are buying them up more than ever before. What's their secret?
>>
The branding is very loud and noticable, it doesn't matter if it looks good.
>>
If you remove quality choices and leave only shit on the table, people who go to dine will only eat what's available.

The only reason the auto industry is in the state it's in now is solely because consumers do not vote with their wallet.
Sadly the damage is already done, too much time has passed since the days of working on your own car so the consumer isn't nearly as informed or in touch with the various realities that come with owning a car.
Even if the consumer had enough of ts, they're too ignorant to even know what they'd want beyond muh mpg and feature gimmicks

The manufacturers don't want to turn out that sh1t. They do, however, need to make more and more profit.
>>

chinks
>>
>>28911015
That's why the manufacturers switched from large volume run lower cost productions to smaller batches higher cost production runs to inflate profit.

Why sell 5000 things for a 5% margin when you can sell 500 things for a 20% margin.
I reject new slop because it's inheritly anti consumer which is wrong.

They look like shit but go like stink
>>
i don't like the way they look either but when modded they always get tons of attention at shows and have crazy presence on the road. can't deny the rizz.

Kinda this. The new car market is very slim
>Mercedes is just chintzy 4-cylinder giant touchscreen slop
>Audi is cost-cutting due to dieselgate fines, their cars are now anonymously styled boring slop
>Porsches are outrageously priced for what you get
>Mustang is touchscreen only slop, heavier and worse looking than previous gen but way more expensive
>Charger is inline-6 low quality fat slop
>Japanese stuff is either outdated, overpriced, or scarce as hen's teeth
>Korean stuff is lolcow tier
Other than the Corvette, BMWs are really the only mainstream cars that give you your money's worth in terms of performance and reliability. The upcoming Camaro might be good too.

btw bmw still has a pure M3 without the hybrid el. assist whatever shit mercedes and audi do (imagine a c63 having a 2 liter inline 4) because BMW basically makes the customer pay for the emission tax that BMW has to pay

>Why sell 5000 things for a 5% margin when you can sell 500 things for a 20% margin
Because [ 5000*0.05 = 250 ] > [ 500*0.2 = 100 ]

>vote with their wallet
Nigger, the only way to "vote" our way out of this is by shooting regulators.
>>
>>28910998
Brand whores will always make excuses to themselves to forcibly like the new shiny toy. Apple notch, BMW kidney grills, etc.

>why do people buy Ultimate Driving Machine???
it’s a mystery
>>
>>28911593
How the fuck is Subaru number 2 lol, this whole chart is sus man those bmws are all the same car reconfigured with the same plastic engine and slushbox
>>
>>28911595
>one of the best engines ever made
>combined with the best transmission ever made
>why do they keep selling this shit???
it’s a mystery
>>
>>28911267
dont forget to mention that its 20k in fines
>>
>thinks bmw can charge Porsche prices for the m3
People will just buy the Porsche if it was equal price. M3 is the clout chaser car for people who don't have Porsche money yet.
>>
There are multiple UDM in the 911 price region and they sell like hotcakes.
M2 CS, M4 CSL, M8 Comp.
If you want a front engine car you do not buy a 911, and vice versa
>>
The kind of more money and sense retards that buy them are buying the brand to display to others and don't actually care what it looks like. Have you seen the x2m thing, lmao
>>
>>28910998
>>
>>28911638
porsches are unc cars, no one under 40 wants to be seen in one.
>>
>>28911636
it’s kinda insane when you add in EV incentives that ICE is still winning despite a ~$30k price difference.
>>
>>28911872
nobody in the market for an m3 is even considering a bev.
But its fascinating how purists suck it up.
on the rs5 audi put these 20k in additional parts instead of a fine to the EU. As a result it is 8x cheaper in tax than the m3
>>
>>28911151
>Corvette
>make it a rear-mid engine so you can't even put your gf's purse in it
GM could have just taken the C7, given it a rear bench, and called it the 5th gen Firebird. They'd be raping BMW so bad, the EU would have to block it on some envireurofaggotry
>>
>>28910998
They're ugly to people who care about cars.
But the "uniqueness" is what draws the normie customer
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
>>
>>28911888
it's almost like evs are gay af
>>
whats will all the tryhard pseudo intellectual answers itt? the real answer is
>we want the nigger market
