Cost me under $70 total to register and my annual fees plus ad valorem are going to be something like $12 a year. Idk if other states are different but older vehicles are cheaper to register to the point that the collector plate is pointless.

Now that a 2001 Corolla is a classic and can run 750k miles without issue while avoiding usury and registration fees it's a big problem for the state.Boomers crying about it are basically admitting their old cars are trash.
