What would you rename pic rel to in order to popularise them in the US? And I mean literally pic rel btw, where two cars can enter at the same time, none of this pansy one-at-a-time nonsense.

theyve been everywhere in the US for like a decade now
>>

Not the one in the OP, the new ones in the US (and Japan, which also went for decades without them) look more like pic rel. So even if they are now being built out, they're still not being built correctly.

Backwards roundabout

Rename it the
Shitty fucky everybody stops to enter because theyre scared of speeders right of way absolutists distracted drivers scams and dumb people nobody knows how lanes work, time wasting, piece of shit.

If I ever needed a bigger proof that culture doesn't come from the environment it's roundabouts in America.

What are you talking about? These are everywhere, aside from cars driving on the right (read: correct) side and the outside car going past the second exit normally being illegal. Is this bait?
>>
>>28917427
Show me how many you have where two cars can enter from the same point of entry at the same time.

I like em because I can get up on that curb while taking them at speed. best ones are the ones with the chicane before the entrance

I can think of like eight or ten off the top of my head, and lately they've been building a new one each year. I'll admit they could be more common, but if my suburban hellscape has them then they're not rare.

Why would anyone want a shitty idea from eurotrash? Isn't this shit from France? Do you really want to be French OP.
>>
>>28917387
This would never work in the US, Americans don't understand the concept of right of way. They'd be playing chicken anytime the inner lane tries to exit. That's gonna result in a lot of road rage induced shootings.
>>
>>28917516
This wouldn't even work in canada, you need a high IQ society for stuff like this. Even single lane roundabouts are a challenege here because old/ brown people come to a complete stop before entering.
>>
>>28917387
This is a faulty way to design a roundabout. The outer lane should automatically depart at the coming exit precisely to avoid a scenario like this where a crash can occur.

why is the green car cutting off the red car? that just seems like encouraging people to cause crashes
>>
>>28917454
They recently redid one of the roads at the edge of my town and now it's got three of those chicane ones in about a mile, it's fun as fuck when there's no traffic.

Drifting roundabouts is fun, bikers can learn usefull skills too.
A group I was in rented a roundabout for a weekend it was/is used as a skid pan by car manufacturers and had a runway attached.
Runways are a safe place to practice being a silly sod without hurting randoms.
