Here in the US southeast, over the last 25 years I've actually seen blinker use improve noticeably.I blink at least 2 times before a lane change. If no one is around (I live innawoods) or it's a designated turn lane then I don't do it because that's silly - your imaginary version of your mother might be impressed but focus on driving instead of virtue signalling to no one.

slight hijack but why the fuck do people go to make their turn and they swing out like they're hauling a 40ft trailer, sometimes into an adjacent lane, to make simple turns? I've noticed it's a lot more prevalent than ever. Doesn't matter the vehicle type, car, truck, van, CUV. They all do it.
