The kind of shit that will get you killed and companies sued into the dirt if they beta tested. Some of these operating systems are made by the same folks making systems for planes too. The whole point of them is to be predictable down to the milisecond, rather than many older car designs that relied on physical links and human reactions everywhere.

Blasting the AC at 16c is all well and good but wouldn't notice a bit of drift. Most units start at the stated temperature before 'relaxing' and allowing a degree or two of drift, because trying to hold the exact temperature is more power intensive. There's also things like "does the temperature sensors really need to update the system every 200ms or could we get away with every 10s". And who really cares if the back of the cabin is a degree or two higher?
