They don't even sell the big dog ford trucks in Australia through official channels and they are not designed with our infrastructure in mind so they're pretty much useless. Rural farmers are just about the only ones with a legitimate use case for them. Even fleet vehicles are mostly either smaller pickups (utes) like the ranger, or vans or actual trucks. That being said, for some regarded reason we are moving in the direction of everything becoming a fuck huge yank truck even the supposedly smaller utes.

Anyone have the MSRPs side by side? I bet that's most of the story. In the US the Ranger winds up like 10% cheaper than the half ton, and why bother when you get a so much roomier, more capable vehicle for so little extra money?
