Why the fuck are they switching to 850cc as the top race? You better pick up your liter bike SOONor you will be priced out
maybe pirelli tyres can't handle the torque of a litre bike
>>28920057We should go to 1000cc 2-strokes.
500cc was the best era anyway
850cc is the least of your worries, as of last year MotoGP has the same ownership as F1 so it's only going to get worse
>>28920057The MotoGP bikes have nothing to do with the current literbikes being sold. Same with WSBK now.
>communism is when completely unrelated thing that i dont like
>>28920057They went to 800cc from 2007-2012, you stupid zoomer fuck.
>>28920103o fugg
>>28920083We should go back to smol bore racing.
>>28920158Devil's advocate, the current Ducati V4 barrows heavily from engineering on the race bike. But yeah. Leader bikes aren't going anywhere for the street legal market. The idea behind going to 850 is to slow the bikes down, which it may do for top speed, but in regards to lap times I'm not sure it's going to make much of a difference. The smaller aero box and ban on ride height and especially the change in tires are probably going to do more to the lap times than losing 150 cc of displacement.I hope Marc can still pull it off this season because God damn that Aprilia has pace, and Bezz can use it.
>>28920057>MotoGP>You better pick up your liter bike SOONStart worrying when WSBK changes their regulations. Moto GP is prototype racing, it means nothing to us. WSBK however is the regulating body that dictates the superbike class, the literbike.
>>28920094Tru
>>28920057ssbeoy has never been more real
Can we have motogp and wsbk race day threads on this board or is that strictly only allowed on /sp/?
>>28920057because literbikes are getting way too fast for racing. 250 hp, 150 kg bike plus 70 kg rider, power/weight ratio is insane.
>>28920571Then they should modify the track
Suzuki comeback when?
>>28920574f1 did that, all the tilkedromes are tailor made for f1 cars and their speedtilkedromes are also boring as fuck compared to real tracks like spa and suzuka
>>28920057MotoGP bikes are prototypes. Watch WSBK if you want racing that is based on production (still heavily modified)They are also removing a lot of aero and electronic aids, so keeping the 1000cc engine pushing nearly 300hp on lighter and simpler bikes would probably kill someone
>>28920057They already tried this about 10/15 years ago by going to 800cc and it failed, they lost so many viewers they had to switch back to 1000cc, the same will happen again.
>>28920094Nah, peak era was the turn of the millennium in Y2K. Same for wsbk. It was just magical. The machines were amazing. The production bikes of those homologations were fantastic. >>28920057It's been ran by commies ever since those euroniggers pulled the ladder up on American talent. It's so bad desperate mfs move their ass to Spain from the USA just for a pigeons pube hair chance to get in.Fuck em all, and fuck all the electronics. We pay to watch humans race motorcycles, not a machine doing calculations in order to handle itself.>We don't need 200hp for top tier racing>Task saturation is a engineer fairy tale>Winglets gotta go It's so gay
>>28921110>american talentAmerican talent only existed because of zero torque 2 stroke 500cc engines which stalked at 10k rpm and redlined at 13.5k, so had to be kept within that narrow range the whole time, straights or turns, which meant dirt track background us riders (and aussies/kiwis) just absolutely obliterated everyone else with no such background for the while. Btw, that wasn't even a secret back then. That era abruptly ended literally with a bang with the appearance of the aptly labelled big bang engines, and said "american talent" just simply got outclassed once they no longer had that advantage and it became obvious they weren't the road racing gods they were made to look like they were.
