>also, holy shit I’m either fat or these were designed for a 28 inch waistAlso, anyone know of good rx7 seat rails for sparcos? These rails are contacting the transmission tunnel carpet so it’s a bit of a pain to use the sliding adjustment.
>>28922854"muh buckets" are such retarded larp on a street car.
>>28922854Anon, every racing seat is build for a specific body type.I run seats made for 28-30in waist guys who are 6ft+.Find a seat for your body type.As far as mounts, often times seat mounts put the seat too high. Usually best just to buy side brackets and do a solid floor mount.
Hold on didnt you buy this thing because it had the higher spec seats
>>28922854>also, holy shit I’m either fat or these were designed for a 28 inch waistI had a similar problem with the Sparco Sprints in my nephew's TT; my shoulders were too broad to fit between the supports, so my dumb ass was forced to sit in front of the seat rather than in it. You need to measure yourself and find a seat the fits your dimensions.>>28923198I used to agree, right up until I got some bucket seats for my daily driver MX5 in anticipation of it becoming a track car. With the factory seats I used to get lower back ache when driving for more than a half hour or so, but with the buckets I get no aching at all. Obviously they're tad inelegant to get in or out of, but a couple seconds of grief for hours of comfort seems like a reasonable trade off to me, assuming your factory seats aren't as shite as MX5 tombstone seats, anyway.
>>28922854Seats like that without harness isnt something I would have done. The 3 point belt will just sit on the seat bolsters and not really contact you. May not work as designed.Yes, racing seats are often super narrow. I have a momo in my rx7fb and one of my ex girlfriends who was like 5'11 120lbs had such wide hips she couldnt fit in it.Sliders will raise the seat high and rx7s arent that big so your head may now hit the roof when wearing a helmet. They really should be mounted w side mounts cut and welded to the car and adjusted (bolt holes) for each driver. There are sportier street car seats out there that are a middle ground such as lotus probax seats but its all gonna be trial and error like fitting aftermarket wheels. You do you but I'd consider selling this seat if it's got 3 strikes against it (dont fit you, dont fit trans tunnel, questionable safety w stock belt, or if your head height is now higher in car)
>>28923572>Sparco SprintsThose are for Manlets.Jokes aside.
>>28922854Hook me up with your old seat for my miats
>>28923612they’re on yahoo auction now. >>28923245yeah, these are supposed to be good for a 34 inch waist I thought. Maybe it was 32 and I’m misremembering. I found some side mounts I’ll try out that I think will fix the mounting issue, but last time I tried sidemounts they didn’t fit at all due to width issues.
