Lads, the Michelin pill is real.
I've never owned tires with this much grip in the dry and wet.
It's like Space Magic.
>>
too much grip for a street tire, they're boring to drive on.
>>
>>28923557
>too much grip for the street
No such thing.
You need that grip to avoid the insane drivers on the roads.
Every time I see someone crash trying to avoid an accident, it's always a car on All-season tires.
>>
Shame they don't do these in 195/50R15s
>>
cheater tires
>>
>>28923589
i respectfully disagree. i used to be able to spin my PZeros going 60 but since getting PS4Ss now i can only spin them up to about 30. that is objectively less fun.
>>
>>28923557
>too much grip

You drive a miata or one of those sport trims of an economy car, don't you?
>>
Yeah pilot sport 5s are great just expensive but the ps4s is overrated as a true sports tyre. Don't get me wrong it's amazing for extremely short squirts or fast wet weather driving but moving up to 200tw tyres is a night and day upgrade if you're actually driving hard

no not really.
>>
>>28923617
Why would spinning tires instead of accelerating be more fun?
I'd prefer to be pushed into my seat by torque.

>>28923637
>ps4s is overrated as a true sports tyre
They are great daily tires.
But people view them as something they are not.
I've had several ppl tell me 4/4s/5 are race tires.
Michelin sells race tires, they are non DOT slicks that will break your car.
>>
>>28923734
different strokes for different folks i guess. i like spinning my tires on the highway.
>>
>>28923740
Weird shit.
Spinning ain't winning.
>>
>>28923554
i wonder if mopar or chevy big blocks would make these spin
>>
>>28923750
winning driving on the street? run actual track tires if you're racing.
>>
>>28923554
placebo effect
>>
>>28923554
I like the Potenza sports just as much and they were $100/less per tire when I got new ones than the Pilot Sports for my weird staggered size. Still, they are either best or second depending on who you ask. I always put Michelins on family members cars and haven’t been disappointed.
>>
Bridgestones are better in the wet
I don't make the rules
>>
>>28923804
>>28923828
The Bridgestone potenza sports are slower in the wet than the 4s and 5.
They are a good bit cheaper though.

>>28923798
As yes, holding 1.1Gs in a turn in a bone stock car is a placebo.
>>
>>28923589
>You need that grip to avoid the insane drivers on the roads.
You are retarded, if you wanted grip you wouldn't have bought all seasons ricer, wrenchlet.

try turning traction control off and if that doesn't work buy a more powerful car next time.
>>

are you talking to me? i press a button on my steering wheel to put my car in 4WD and it puts it down just fine.
>>
I've actually enjoyed my CC2's that I put on for winter more now that it's warmer. they lose grip predictably, they're fun

No sizes and they wear out way too fast.

>but sim racing told me street tires barely have any grip not even on an underpowered shitbox
Well if all you do is drive to work, get groceries and hit the "twisties", you'll never find the true limit of grip. When you're on track, you'll find out why street tires suck due to the lack of durability and heat tolerance compared to real 200 tw tires
>>
>>28924943
what I noticed is how AWD can make basic street tires feel a lot grippier.
feels like semi slicks on RWD cars
>>
>>28924846
You WILL buy obscenely ugly 20" wheels for your older car

idk how well ps5's compare to the cup 2 (or the bridgestones) when it comes to speed but fuck me is there literally no feedback until you're halfway through the corner
switched to the potenza sport evo from the ps5 and it's made a world of difference

Yeah, AWD gives you more traction which feels like more grip, but better compounds will actually give you more grip especially if you have an AWD car. I chunked the shit out of my street tire in an AWD car before getting a cheap 200 tw Falken RT615k+ and the difference is night and day and that tire is ancient compared to the competition today.
