Kinda sorta. VAG got involved with Rimac to get their know-how and patents, and one of Rimac's conditions for the involvement was "let me head Bugatti" because Rimac is a massive car guy despite being an EVtard. Now that VAG got all they needed from Rimac, they split ways, and getting money for it and letting go of a moneypit prestige brand on top is a nice bonus.
