The wind noise is pretty brutal though and that V6 is pretty rough feeling at some RPM's. One of the guys at work has one and he's on the waitlist for a new engine.

>>28925090These are mostly Tacoma issues. My nuRanger gets ~23mpg and interior space is comparable to a decent-size sedan. I've also got an Outback in the family and the Ranger compares pretty well, better front seat space at the expense of slightly worse back seats, same MPG, very similar footprint, etc. Stock ride quality sucked but a relatively cheap set of Bilstein 5100s transformed it. The Ecoboost helps a lot too, people like to bitch about it but I'd much rather have this turbo 4 than any midsize truck V6 I've driven, it's a really solid engine and way better-suited to truck use than the high-strung car-based V6s they've been putting in trucks for the last decade or so. All that said I'll probably switch to a half ton when it's time for a new truck but I like the Ranger a lot and it did its job very well when I lived somewhere a bigger truck wouldn't fit.
