certified unc moment
why the fuck wouldn't you wear a seatbelt?
>>
>>28925066
Anon probably works as a valet
>>
>>28925066
nta my seatbelt sensor screams at me when I turn my car to on. not start the engine, not put the car in drive, just electrical on.
it happens every damn time I drive it. because I already have my key in my hand from unlocking the car. it only makes sense to put it in the ignition and turn it before doing anything else. I put on my seatbelt before shifting into drive but it still fucking screams at me
>>
i hate these buttons and knobs to shift autos.
so fucking annoying
no click, no audio warning, maybe some fucking light you have to look down to see.
no feedback at all.
fuck.that.shit.
>>
>>28925070
You probably work as a retard
>>
>>28925092
Yes, but a retard who can afford to drive his own car instead of taking public transport so I can drive other people's cars to and from a parking lot around the block
>>
>>28925075
Why do I get the feeling all you people shit talking shift knobs have never used the input selector on an old stereo receiver? What the fuck do you need feedback for? You have like 4 positions to choose from. Can you not remember that sequence of 4 positions?
>>
>>28925106
i need a big shift cock to grab and jerk around when i want to shift. not finger some dainty little clit while i'm redlining it around a turn going 100mph.

M models from BMW are available with a six speed and some of the diesels also have manuals.
>>
>>28925027
long LED strips in-between the headlights and taillights. Everybody is doing it now and it looks tacky as fuck. That shit is going to look fucking horrible once those strips start shitting the bed and leaving sections dead. Also light up manufacturer badges. What's with the factory rice these days?
>>
Sensor buttons, or cheap buttons with low/no haptic feedback.
There was a time when people thought they were cool and futuristic, but today they are only a way to save some cents on manufacturing and annoy drivers.
>>

>key in ignition sensor
bruh my 1988 chevy senses whether the key is in the ignition that's why the buzzer goes off when you leave the key in and open the door
hell it also sounds the buzzer if you start it without the seatbelt on, and auto climate has been around for 40 years as well
>>28925224
just think about how funny it's gonna be when one letter dies and now you drive a FO D

>>
Putting the center middle seat belt in the roof
>>
>>28925348
wtf is this really a thing? i've never seen a car do this
>>
>>28925369
It's mainly with gay hatchbacky crossovery things, my sister's globohomo Yaris 3DR has a middle seatbelt coming down from the ceiling.

What's wrong with that?
>>
>>28925384
It's cringe because no one is gonna adjust the temp better than you

>blast it until comfortable
>turn the fan down or off depending on what you need

>gear selector on steering wheel
That looks based as fuck, and we could still probably have this with airbag if you put it where the volume cruise control buttons are, that way you get the best of both worlds, possible three seater up front or crazy center console space without having a stupid column shifter like it's a heavy duty truck.
>>
>>28925074

That's probably a chime to tell you the key is in the ignition. Very common on jap cars
>>
>>28925391

That only makes sense for the initial entry. And even with all the auto adjusting air conditioning I have seen you can tell it to go full blast. Once I am more than 5 mins into the ride I just set it to whatever is a nice environment and let it handle that and I may have to adjust it one or 2 degrees. I live in the tropics so full blast cold is necessary for the first couple minutes even if you air out the car before getting in.

What will make you laugh is that they still sell trucks that only have fan speed and A/C on or off. No blending.
>>
>>28925462
Fully automatic temperature control is an illusion. A car is not a room, it's a highly dynamic system, with relatively high ventilation speeds, a lot of radiation, surfaces,....
A simple qualitative approach (a red/blue shifter) is closer to the actual thing happening than a display with half-degree precision.

That's the stupidest place to put it, way to easy to accidentally activate. It should be up on the dash, near where your hands already are on the wheel. Put a nice storage area where the shift sticks used to be. I'm all for it, this is basically a column shifter that's less likely to get accidentally bumped. Very practical.
>>
>>28925074
Get a "seatbelt extender." Anything banned on Amazon is worth getting. There are a lot of car related things that are, but I managed to snag a remote controlled plate cover on there for $40.
>>
>>28926091
Imagine getting a seatbelt extender when you could have the chad seatbelt defeater
>>
>>28925027
I like how the designers made it look like a face screaming in pain
>>
All of them. I haven't seen a good trend to come out of anything after 1995.
>>
>>28926493
It's probably not a trend, but OBDII itself is pretty based finally cars could tell you what's wrong with accuracy.
>>
>>28926178
>seatbelt defeater
One less retard on the road.
>>
>>28926514
Anon a true retard can't be kept alive no matter what safety systems you put in the car, it's amazing how safe a modern cars is and I still see onscene.tv footage of people managing to kill themselves in the most outrageous ways in a brand new car with seatbelt on.
>>
>>28925186
Just stop buying new cars.

The one in my Camry's passenger seat goes off if more than 5lbs is sitting on it. Old enough to disable the beeping but the light still blinks.

God I hate how little the greenhouse is in cars, somehow Honda bucked that a little in the 11th gen Civic, but holy shit do I wanna shoot the uber driver when I'm in a rav4 or a Corolla and the entire thing is dashboard
