I inherited this car. If I keep it is there anything I should look at or check? I hear this is the last reliable or maintainable bmw before they went to all plastic. Idk?

Also,
I see dealerships selling these for like 10-15k.
Private sellers are more around 7k.
What is the value of this in the USA?

Yes, get the rear subframe reinforced ASAP. It's the most common problem.
After that, it's typical BMW shit. Your cooling system will fail, so change all that out. Water pump, rad, whatever else idk man. And something VANOS related will probably break but who cares.

DISA valve (plastic flap that can get sucked in), thermostat housing, coolant expansion tank. I think that might be one of the ones where you can do a 'golf tee' mod and open both exhaust pipes when in park at idle (one is typically closed) for a bit of free noise if that's your thing. There's still some plastic in there too, I cracked my plastic valve cover and JB welded it when I owned my E46 kek.
Low mileage like that should last a while, I sold mine around 175k miles and it had needed suspension parts like control arms, things like coil packs by that point but it was still reliable overall.

the verts have a different floor pan, the unibody doesn't break at the subframe mounting points
>>
>>28925786
you have never owned an e46, why do you parrot all this shit?
>>
>>28925786
Subframe shit is just for the M3, not that I've owned one so maybe overblown even there unless you're constantly driving it hard on the track. I do own a 330Ci and it's fine, not nearly enough power to damage anything even if it was paper mache welded with duct tape. Cooling system shit is also overblown. My expansion tank and hoses are 25 years old now, no leaks or cracks.

It was not just an m3 thing. At all.

You lucky motherfucker. Ahhh

Check the radiator fan they're plastic and sometimes they will explode and cut all of your hoses

That’s insane. No one is paying that. Must be a typo.

That's straight up "I know what I got" boomer idiocy. $43k is steep even for a mint unmodified low mileage manuél M3 or even an Alpina B3S, that much for a bog standard 330Ci is insane even if it had sub-10k mileage and ZHP and every single unobtainium Individual upgrade like the extended leather interior. $13k would be a much more reasonable deal.
