Do you like a car that nobody else likes or even remembers?
Me yes.

>how can we make a-class cool with the youth?
>i know, we clad it in cheap plastic and pretend it's trendy like bmw's mini
>wait why does it sell even worse than a-class?

I prefer this version.

It has nothing to do with an A class. It stems from cooperation with Mitsubishi. It's also not a rebadged Mitsubishi, they shared the development and took the best from both worlds.

When I saw the name Colt, I definitely wouldn't think of a car.
>>
>>28925813
I'd drive this. At least for a while.

I have it as a winter car and it's great. Practical, solid, immune to rust, good visibility, easy to work on. low fuel consumption even with the 1.5L, handles well for a FWD.

This car almost bankrupted Subaru.

Honestly one of the funnest cars, low sitting, handled tight corners like they were nothing.
(It was a Mazda for the most part honestly)

2nd gens were a mistake.

Two in my street.

Absolutely. I've owned 2 forfour Brabus over the years.

Decently rapid, good handling on smooth roads, backbreaking ride on rough surfaces, cheap to run and surprisingly roomy/practical. Some side windows and half the panoramic roof are plastic so do degrade and craze over time. Parts shared with the colt are plentiful and cheap. Those unique to Smart less so.

To give an idea of my taste in cars I've also owned:

1985 2CV
1981 Alfasud 1.3sc
1988 Alfa Sprint Veloce
2000 Audi A2 1.4
2003 Audi A2 TDI
2006 Skoda Fabia vRS
2007 Skoda Fabia vRS limited edition

These days due to family requirements I have a 2014 335D GT but I miss those smol bois I used to tear around in.

Forgot to mention a brief dalliance with a 1998 Daihatsu Cuore Avanzato TR-XX R4, one of 80 UK cars which met a sad end in a low-speed side collision with a van. Little 8.5k rpm rocket and something I'd wanted to own since I saw one in the local showroom around the time I got my driving license :'(

I've got an XE S, the engine is great but it's not a great fit for a big AWD estate IMO. Doesn't have loads of torque low down, which is fine in the smaller RWD saloon but I can imagine it'd need working quite hard in a bigger AWD estate.

For the longest time I wanted pic related. I still kinda do, but I have a Fiata now, which is an infinitely better car, so I have no reason to get that piece of shit. I still love the design though.

Doesn't the roof leak like crazy on those (and their chopped back siblings)?
>>
>>28926996
>like crazy
From my research I wouldn't say like crazy, but yeah, soft tops were prone to leaking. There were hard tops too, which are rare. Leaking however wasn't even close to its biggest problem, the car was riddled with issue: AC line cracked since there was no strain relief/vibrational decoupling near the engine; the engine itself wasn't reliable; the electric system wasn't properly weather sealed and water ingress could kill the electronics; it was autotragic only, a stupid slow one too; I could go on.

It's a 20+ years old car now, spare parts are rare since only ~40k were produced , and finding one in decent shape is near impossible unless you're willing to pay through the nose for it. I was almost going to give in and be the proverbial idiot and get parted from my money, more than once actually, because I've been fixated on that car since I was a teen and mild undiagnosed autism, but every time I checked one in person I had to withdraw the offer: they were badly worn, in various states of disrepair, riced to hell and back, or often all the above.
