Hit the curb on a narrow street letting someone pass. Is this in need of replacing?
>>28928774It doesnt look that bad but sidewall damage of any kind of generally something you dont fuck around with. If you can afford to replace the tire you should. If you want to run the tire at least move it to the rear axle so it doesnt pull your car off the road if it blows out.
>>28928774it doesn't look like the structure of the tire is affected. if you see it bulging even minimally you have to replace it immediately.
>>28928775>>28928783Thanks guys. This happened yesterday, I'm not buying 4 more tires for 1k so I'm going to keep an eye on my pressure and get a rotation.
>>28928790get tire insurance next time, its another $100 and is great for shit like that.or get them done at costco. i had those morons replace a pair of tires cause the valv stem was leaking and the duffouses there couldnt figure that out.
>>28928774Car's totaled
>>28928774If it doesn't bubble up, it's fine. That's just the outer superficial layer. But inspect it every week or so
Just leave it, who gives a fuck? Ignore redditors.
>>28930418>superficial>sidewall is only 2 pliesThat tires is fucked.Bunch of zoomer retards.
>>28930490Are you sure? The wheel and the rest of the tire near it looks fine
>>28930596Holy fuck is this ai? This is the thing complaining modern vehicles are too "pigfat"?
Ive been driving whit same thing for las 30.000km. Just check it doesnt get a buble and it will be fine. Looks superficial. External layer. And be carefull being polite out threre, as you see, it can be expensive.
>>28928774>hit the curbPost tits
>>28930490Anon, the outer layer of sidewall that has all the written legal requirements, isn't considered a ply.Otherwise curbing a tire would immediately send millions of retards off the road and crash.
>>28930596>even changed the filenameYou sly bastard, that almost got me
I had the same thing and just replaced it. I use this car for hauling my kids around so didn't want to risk it.
