I wanted one as a kid as we had comfy but FWD Chrysler New Yorker. It's reignited my desire for a RWD comfy barge.Dude at my local oil change place bought an ex police service WM Caprice and is slowly replacing all the hard police spec interior bits with the civilian versions. They also exported it as a Buick to China. I'm considering getting a fleet spec V8 model used by a city government and swapping the fascias and interior for the Buick versions. Somewhat hard to source but they sold very well in Asia so are plentiful used. They're all just starting to lose their registration in China too, so many are getting parted out.
>>28930865He could just import a bunch of pieces from Australia, it's where they were built and where the majority actually are.
>>28930871You can just buy WM Caprice parts for much of the interior but you need the LHD specific parts for basically the entire dash/console and front seats which were made by Choiner GM in Shanghai. Also, annoyingly you need an entirely new wiring harness and head unit from Daewoo to get everything to work properly too. I've seen a few set up that way here. They did a pretty significant amount of reengineering for the LHD Chinese and Korean Buick/Daewoo versions.
