>What gear do you use for carrying deliveries?
I use this bag from BagMasters™.
https://bagmasters.com.au/products/medium-food-delivery-bag-lite
It just werks. I find the velcro opening to be quicker and easier than the zipper on the bag that Uber provides.

>Doing Ubereats deliveries while on a bike sounds pretty fun.
Riding a motorcycle is always fun but it's even more fun when there's a sense of urgency. Every delivery is a race against the clock because everyone wants their hot food while it's still hot and fresh, so I have good incentive to ride fast.
I've met some amazing people and made some really good friends. I've delivered to people from all walks of life from bogans in the 'burbs to the social elite in a penthouse apartment in the CBD. Even some celebrities. I've had so many amazing experiences delivering for UberEats™ that I could write a wall of text.

The pay is shit but it has it's rewards. Plus I get to flirt with the teenage girls working at McD's.

>>28928881
Yeah, nah, I was joking about stealing a beer. Fact is that delivery location was a restaurant so I just opened the door and put the order on the nearest table. Note the time was 10:30am so they weren't open for business yet and she emerged from the kitchen and saw me and said thanx. It wasn't the first time I delivered food to a restaurant and it probably won't be the last.

Girls get sport bikes for the image and the social aspect more than they get them because they enjoy riding. In any case she tried it out and she's not getting what she wanted from the scene. Or she needs the money or she got a big ticket and is selling to make a better impression on the judge and maybe she got knocked up and needs the money for her baby... who the fuck knows man there's a million reasons why somebody would sell anything.

I rode a sportbike today for the third time. It's like learning how to ride all over again. I've only ridden a cruiser once, but my daily was an XR650R. The sportbike thing is a trip. It feels like a normal bike until you hit the powerband, and then you're doing 100mph in second. I was slowing down coming into an intersection when the light turned green, and I cracked the throttle open a little. Well it hit the powerband right as I was cresting the road crown, and power wheelie caught me by surprise. Also, I feel much more obnoxious on it than my other bike even though I'm full throttle on the XRR almost constantly, and on this I'm barely going half throttle.
Overall, it's very interesting for now. I feel like a noob all over again. I wonder where my skill as a rider would be if I would have been riding something like this a lot sooner.

For MX bars, Pro-taper and renthal are the big names, but I like ODI bars and mounts. They make some nice stuff.
A new-old-stock handlebar from Factory 909 would be cool just because they're a defunct division of FMF.

>>
>>28929609
>By peaky do you mean horsepower and by punchy do you mean torque?
Yes, by normie definitions but since you opened the horsepower and torque can of worms I'm going to be pedantic. Having a lot of torque is the same as having a lot of horsepower in the low rpm range, this produces punch. Having a lot of horsepower up top is the same as producing a lot of torque in the high rpm range, if it lacks power down low and gives everything up top, that is peaky. It's possible to have both punch and peak but then you end up with an 800lb GoldWing
>My man’s got a mango box
"Yeah, they were all yellow"
>>
>>28929597
Sign me up bruh
>>
>>28929627
Ohh I gotcha. Thanks for explaining that. That makes sense. In that case, I like punchy low end torque.
For example, I’ve had 250 2 stroke dirt bikes before. I love the low end punch. It’s just fun, raw power.
However I also kinda stand by the philosophy of thinking it’s more fun to ride a slow thing fast instead of a fast thing slow. And for that reason, I could never fully enjoy my 250 dirt bikes. It’s ironic really. Ringing out little go karts is also fun for the same reasons. Haha
>>
>>28929643
If you spend a lot of time riding in a dense city, punchy is a lot of fun because once the power hits in a peaky bike, you're already doing way over the speed limit

It fits a ""large"" pizza from one of the American chains like PizzaHut™ and Dominoes™ but not a true large pizza from an independent store. But those independent stores usually offer their own delivery service so I rarely get any orders from them. If I do I have to reject the delivery request.

BagMasters offer a larger bag that can carry those larger pizzas but it has a zip closure instead of velcro which I don't like.

Thanks bro I appreciate it.

FWIW I've ridden the 250L and really enjoyed it, I was torn between this thing and a 300 Rally, it was the engine that won me over, as well as the colour scheme. The weight is a bit of a pain when you drop it but now I'm getting used to it that's becoming less of an issue. Factory suspension is pretty bad though, I'm a 5'5" manlet and it's still wooden for me.

Do you have any complaints about the Lexin unit? Are the buttons easy to find with gloves on? Is it loud enough for the highway? Does it have cool LED lights? Will you ever paint the headlight fairing to match the rest of your bike?

t. shopping for a new unit and considering all brands (not just senna and cardo)

The summer nights come. The man who breakes, not by right hand right foot, but he who braques with left hand left foot, has come to brap brap brap brap below your windows once again. This is the future we face as the cost of living rises. You may blame the jews for the brap brap brap. I am but a man.

how is this even possible? i'm replacing my rear tyre about every four months and the front tyre about every six months.

i love getting new tyres because it transforms how the bike handles and feels.

bike's been sitting for the last 15 years.
changed oil/filter, brake fluid (rear brake locked up) air filter, coolant..
bike runs fine but carbs probably need to be looked at. I need to clean the chain as well.
Maybe I'll get some k60's, idk. Offroad is the main goal here

What disc lock does /dbt/ use? My low rider s already has an alarm built in if you move it so I just went for a strong unalarmed disc lock. Doesn’t fit on rear disc so front will have to do.

You definitely don't NEED it. The odds of running into a trail cop are very low unless maybe a long weekend or something. I've never actually seen one. But I bought it because I plan to be in there a lot this year and it supports the people that take their time to clear out all the brush and overgrowth to make it a solid experience, for officially mapped trails.

So why do people censor (blur out) their speeds when uploading videos to YT?
>>
>>28930688
People think it'll stop the feds from charging them for speeding but the feds can still measure speed using the road lines and frame by frame analysis

Looking for a cheap commuter. I mean really cheap without getting something that is going to outright kill me. Found a guy on FB Marketplace who owns a small time motorcycle shop/service deal out of his garage. Selling a recently "restored" 1983 Honda Shadow 750. New tires, new brakes, starts, drive, etc. Wants $750. I figure I can talk him down to $650 or so but i'm honestly willing to just buy it at asking price.

Anything I should be worried about? This would be my first actual road bike. Only motorcycle experience I throw around a Kawasaki KX250 2 stroke manual every weekend and some moped riding experience when I was like 15.
>>
>>28930939
Shadow, rebel, or eliminator cost nothing to insure and are as cheap as can be. Shadow is just heavy. Also cosider a royal Enfield or w800 since 7sed they go for nothing.
