Why is my brake caliper dragging? Or maybe it's the wheel bearing, I just know it's getting hot

Clean and add new grease to the caliper pin sliders.
It's easy and costs like $5.
>>
Just remove the breakpad on that wheel m9
>>
Would advice change if this but drumbrake, asking for a fren

Had this issue on my cuckwagon (ford focus estate). Replaced the whole drum + everything internal. Learned to hate drum breaks after that. But used to have to pull over every 35 minutes or so to let the brake cool. Was not sustainable over long time.

my rear pads were dragging. both slide bolts seized up due to torn boots and water ingress
completely cooked my hawk pads, rotors are still fine.
i burred and regreased the pins. they slide now, pads looked fucked but still have plenty of meat.
its fine now, but i'll get cheapo brake pads next time.

Meh. You have to do it. Take it off and retract it. Honestly, if you have a shitbox, re-furbished auto zone calipers that die in 2 years are what, like $150 iirc?

Have fun bleeding the whole system.

Drums suck compared to disk brakes but they're not that bad if you have the drum brake tool plus needle nose vise grips

You are a disappointment to yourself.
