They're nice but apparently not that reliable in the long term. I am jealous of the wagon variants of Euro cars they can buy that we can't. I saw a Mercedes CLS wagon with Baja plates once and a lifted Hilux diesel. Also a lot of VW Amaroks, diesel Nissan Navaras and those Ram 700 mini pickups. We are apparently going to get small Mexican built Ram pickups soon though. I really want one of those Golf based mini pickups desu.

The Mexican military bought some Chinese trucks recently that were based on previous generation Mercedes-Benz designs. There was for a short time, controversy in Germany about the Mexican military using Mercedes Benz trucks, so Chinese clones were simply acquired, then Mercedes truck engines were installed once the trucks were in service, as the Chinese copies were a bit lower spec and there are is already local Mexican production of Daimler engines. Kind of funny how these radically different styled Chinese models can still freely swap in genuine Mercedes parts like Lego.They've already been delegated to National Guard now since the army is back to being able to acquire Mercedes Benz trucks properly once more.
