You wouldn't like real sports cars. They were never meant to be the GT style monsters that the 911 has become. They were basically sporterized normie cars. They basically just put lighter, smaller bodies on basic ass sedan underpinnings. The MG Midget/Austin Healey Sprite were built on the A35 and the Morris Minor 1000 underpinnings. They were stripped out and miserable to live with.

Being limited by the nannies every time you touch the go pedal and only being able to get on it for one second before you have to let off just isn't "driving" even if you reach the end of the street faster than someone in a less powerful car.
