what's better, a used tesla or a used audi?I live in SW ontario Canadamy budget for a used car is between $20,000 - $30,000 This will be my first car and I'd like to hear some thoughts and advice from people who know about cars (I don't know shit about cars)context: me and my gf don't live together, we're having an unplanned pregnancy (twins, 12 weeks) she's gone insane, I suggested we put our relationship on hold and focus on the baby and being parents and she flipped out and is threatening to not put me on the birth certificate, now I have to move closer to her (I live in toronto right now which is why I don't have a car) she's very very material and has a nice car, so I feel like I need one too (and I will need one if I move to London ON to be in our childrens lives, I'm determined for them not to grow up without a dad)so please any advice would be helpful thanks so much
>>28930584It sounds like you're about to ruin your life man. Focus on fixing that before you worry about choosing the less shitty of two overpriced cars. Take a long walk and think about if the life you're choosing to live is the life you want to live.
>>28930584Go get a insurance quote on those first Mr. Singh. Guarantee you it'll be 5 figures a year over there in New India.
>>28930584>threatening to not put me on the birth certificateIn my third world shithole if you're not on the birth certificate it's extremely hard to force you to pay alimony so that's a good thing cause she sounds like a bitch
>>28930592it's not like I have a choice in any of this man, and I need to be a father to kids related to me (it's a personal thing, I grew up without one and won't inflict that on any child)
>>28930601here if she eventually decided to she could get a court order dna test that would force me to be recognized as a father all child support would be ordered to be backpaidit makes more sense to me to seek equal custody so that I don't have to pay child support and get to be an equal presence in my childrens lives
>>28930608You have a choice in some of it. Fight for custody or something, but children will know if their parents hate each other. That can breed much more resentment and mental issues than having to go between parents every other week
>>28930584Both of these are terrible options.
Made a bad life decision? No problem! Just make a bad financial decision, too! Things will definitely get better if you do.
>>28930584I don't give a fuck about your life so I'll give you advice on the choices. Definitely never the Audi, don't ever look at a german brand on a budget and for a first car. And if you want a Tesla, do NOT get the old gen model in pic because the ride is dogshit. Newer models (I don't know how much they are used) are astoundingly better in noise and quality. For maintenance, in normal circumstance it's basically 0 until you drive the car so much that you need to replace the brakes and tires and charging will be far cheaper than gas. But as I said, I don't know how much the newer models run used and if you can't grab those, look for something else like a cheap jap or gook car.
>>28930626what is considered old and new models? like what years
>>28930584Tesla is the best car brand you can buy. Best car I've owned in 15 years of driving.
>>28930584Audi is a nicer car but you can get a great deal on a used Tesla that’s barely used for like $20k.First, if this isn’t bait, you need to propose to this woman. Ignore the antisocial retards itt who have never touched a woman. Second, I always wanted twins congrats. Your sole and single responsibility is to make sure those two babies grow up happy and loved and statistically they’re more likely to avoid poverty and divorce themselves if they have two married parents and avoid having kids until after high school. Maybe she’s crazy but if you’re not crazy you’ll find a way to make it work. You’ll have to accept that life isn’t about you anymore. It’s about the kids. And you’ll have to show your girl you’re not a stupid faggot and step up and deal with her and the kids bc your life is effectively over. The next 18 years will be nonstop work. No girl will marry a loser single dad anyway so be aware that you literally cannot do better than the mother of your children if you wanted to. And no other women will ever treat your kids right. With that being said I’d get an Audi A4 from like 2018. It’s got all the new tech and Audi is doing minor design updates but the engine and chassis and everything ‘under the hood’ is going to be running through 2035 so you’ll have a current car with lots of parts and it will look new if you keep it clean. The 2.0T is also small and easy pz to work on yourself and only has a few problems that are probably addressed by now on that year. It has AWD and low NVH and it’s pretty sporty and dynamic. If you’re really smart you’ll get a 2.0T Q7 with three rows because you’ll need space for car seats. I think you can get a 2017 2.0T for like $15k and again huge engine way with small engine and elite AWD and space for a family. The 2017 is the same as the current model and except for minor design and electronic updates will be the same as the 2030 model. Also the VW atlas 2.0T from 2018.
