Everyone says fuel economy but that's only a problem if you are a shit driver.

And does it meet the EURO 7 standard?
>>
>>28930895
To do that i would need an npc tier exhaust system instead of twin 3 inch exhausts with 2.5 inch headers
>>
I like small things.
>>

How is this even legal if it is registered in the EU?

We have noise limits even on... racetracks.

"During a 2015 record attempt at Spa-Francorchamps, the Koenigsegg One:1 was restricted by a strict 103dB noise limit on the second day. Despite efforts to modify the exhaust and keep sound under this limit, the car's loud, high-performance nature—which often exceeded 100dB—prevented a full-power, record-setting lap."

Day 1 Limit: 110dB.
Day 2 Limit: 103dB.

Someone i work with had his own golf flagged for noise because it had a fart crackle bang tune and an exhaust meanwhile I can stomp the fast pedal beside cops and never been questioned.
The power of a v8 sounding like a v8.
>>
>>28930901
Then get a small block V8?
>>
>>28930894
Everything with a V8 is too heavy. Sure, the massive torque reserves are nice, but I enjoy handling & cornering most. I'm not happy with a car that isn't light.
>>
>>28930894
but I do drive a v8.
I6's are allowed in the ethnostate as well, fwiw.
>>
i do have one

MGB with a rover V8 is lighter than with its I4, and is already a very light car as it is. Not every V8 powered car is a Cadillac.
>>
>>28930894
In my chassis the stock 4.1L V8 got the worse fuel economy, made the same HP, and made the same torque as the 3.0 V6 Turbo. The V6T Produced its peak torque much lower in the rev range, and builds low end torque faster both of which just work better in a big cruiser that is always striving to be in the highest gear possible. The V8 did not make its power until higher in the rev range. Both Take premium fuel so why get the v8?

>>
>>28931099
Might have something to do with the much more complex plumbing and additional failure points that come from turbo'ing a car? Why do you think some people still prefer the 5.0 in their trucks instead of the V6TT Powerboost when the latter blows the pants off the former?
>>
>>28930894
I'd rather drive a straight 8
>>
I do drive a V8 though. And I get about 20mpg. Wish it had more than 200hp though...

Mr. Duesenberg, now's not the time.
>>
>>28931089
I'd rather not drive a 60 year old car.
>>
>>28931115
Why? What's wrong with a rover-powered MGB? It drives, and with quite a bit of fun at that. What more do you need it to do?

I really wish someone would bring it back, just one
>>
>>28931104
It's 30 years old, I think its been fairly reliable at this point. It's typically considered more reliable than the v8. Other than oil leaks, a non-VVT VQ engine is pretty reliable.
>>28931106
I will say the packaging is terrible either way, but the V6T is slightly tighter due to the extra piping on the passenger side. Both require bullshit like removing the oil cooler and filter to replace an alternator, removing the charge pipe to do valve covers and spark plugs, unbolting the engine from the cross member and lifting it to replace a starter etc etc.
>>
>>28931089
And the MGB with the Rover V8 was a crappy car 50 years ago when it was new. Now they're older than dirt. While the engine is lighter, the body is too flexible to make use of the power effectively. It manages to be heavier due to everything that has to be done to fit the V8.
>>
>>28930899
Single exhausts are always more efficient than doubles, just need a 50% larger (diameter) pipe.
Weighs less too.
>>
Anyone care to explain to me how this dude gets better mpg from a v8 than I do from a dohc dual vvt v6.
Cylinder deactivation, turbo, 800 gears, always short shifting and below 1500rpm and slow acceleration?
Ir is OP's pic just a prewarmed up highway cruise at moderate speed?
I can get 38mpg (6.2L/100k) at 55 or technically 41mpg at 40mph in 6th at 990rpm but that low oil pressure is really really bad for the timing chain.

If it's V8 it's some kind of super luxobarge in Europe. I don't have money for those and even if I had I don't care about luxury. Give me hard plastics and V8.
>>
Because I drive a V12.
>>
>>28930894
Why even get a V8 if you're gonna drive it like it's a corolla?

Fucking idiot.

I do though

>What's wrong with a rover-powered MGB?
In my experience the gearbox is the biggest problem. It has a very "agricultural" shifter feel, and is supposedly made of swiss cheese, which has tempered my boy-racer driving somewhat. An LSD would also be nice, though I suppose it handles well enough without. Luckily they're old enough and popular enough that those problems can quite easily be solved with enough money - there's even a company that makes a fully independent rear suspension that just bolts up straight up using the existing mounts, which is pretty cool.
>>
>>28931450
Does the driving experience differ much from a soft top B?

I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing a soft top B yet, but if they're anything like a MK1 MX5 in spirit, then yes, it's quite different. Despite having only 4 or so more horsepower than the MX5, the V8 pulls noticeably harder, and is half a second quicker to 60mph as a result. The soundtrack is also a *massive* boon in my eyes (and ears), and unlike the MX5, I can quite happily sit and listen to the engine without any need for a radio - https://files.catbox.moe/tli69i.mp4 - The obvious elephant in the room is the soft top aspect, and having the roof down on a good day does make for a significantly more relaxing experience, and it's something the V8 can never really hope to match. The "vibe" is completely different in that sense, as with the V8 I always feel the need to stab the pedal and hear the exhaust note, whereas the 4cyl I can just sit back and cruise in without that temptation. Someone with more impulse control probably wouldn't have that issue, but meh, I am who I am.

I drive a 12mpg V8. People who pussyfoot sports cars around deserve to have their lives cut drastically short in a very long and painful way.

I just sold my 5.0 v8 Explorer. I actually felt bad for the 22 year old that bought it. I was expecting to sell it to some older dude, like 40s or older. But he was the first to reach out and meet up so I took his lowball offer.

I don't like the sound of 4-harmonics, 3-harmonics sound more noble. My bike is an inline 3, my car is a V6, and I really want to get something with a straight 6 to replace it. Or a V12, but it'll definitely bankrupt me lol.
