why ?

You'll find far more Shovels, in good condition and for much less money than you will old Pans. A Shovelhead that's been cared for and gone over well and maintained is a reliable machine.

The generator '66 to '69 was the best of both worlds Harley- Pan lower, Shovel upper- pre cone motor.
>>
>>28931169
Because of amf taking over.
>>
>>28931167
I like motors where the oil stays inside

>>28931167
Thats like saying the sewage from the BBQ joint toilet smells better than the sewage from the taco shop toilet.
>>
>>28931196
I like motors that don't shake themselves apart.

>>28931167
The only problem with the pan is the boomer tax.

Yes.

But is this discourse relevant in a world where the Blockhead exists?
>>
>>28931167
Why does this matter when the Evolution exists

You're allowed to like shitty things with personality. Also any kickstart carbed bike is by default cool.

>>28931196
This is a valid complaint lol.

If speed is a higher priority than feel or style then yeah absolutely buy jap bikes. I've had 6, they're fantastic. But my bike has the single largest aftermarket in the history of motorcycles, and thus can be built and rebuilt in infinite styles for any given purpose. It's heavy and vibrates like a bitch and is far louder than it needs to be and needs loctite on everything and shits gas out the intake. It's reliable and goodenuff on gas and fits me physically and has an analog feel that's otherwise nonexistent this side of the 80s. It's so, so god damn American. I love it.
>>
>>28931667
i don't really have any nostalgia for americana, i'm a leaf and i've owned 10 nip bikes and 1 kraut bikes. the way you describe your burger bike doesn't win me over at all, i usually spreadsheet compare when i buy stuff
>>
>>28931685
Well if you enjoy riding a spec sheet then yeah, do that.

I loved my S&S shovelhead, but I love my Twin Cam 103 much more. Got tired of wrenching on the shovel, just wanted something that starts and runs good ALL of the time.

I did enjoy my TC

Does this mean some day someone might like me?

Weird, mine doesn't do any of that. Stock pipes and EFI.
Also, the big twins have way more of an aftermarket than we do.

my bike's got a 90 degree v-twin and it puts down like 72 horsepower but it only weighs 440lbs and it can actually lean over
i don't know why i'd want to hop on a burger barge that has less power, weighs way more and can't lean for shit
pic related, faggot

My lean angle is only limited by the stuff bolted to the bike. The side stand drags on the left, and the lower muffler drags on the right. I paid for the whole tire I'm gonna use as much of it as I can. I'm not some geriatric fuck on an Electra Glide that's one parking lot stumble away from a trike conversion
>>
I'm glad I still get stoked about riding different kinds of bikes no matter what they are.
>>
>>28931783
You hop on a burger barge to launch at peak torque that hits starting at like 2k rpm, where the shitzuki sv650 hits at 6k

Yes. But you should get off of dating apps and into social or social-adjacent situations and practice interaction with 3d women. You'll either get good at it eventually, or get lucky eventually.

>>28931782
Well if you're going to group every big twin aftermarket together compared to the Sportster then yes. But I argue that the bike with a 37 year production run has a bigger aftermarket than any big twin generation.

Anyway nice schporty
>>
>>28931831
It is frustrating how we get overlooked though. Like I can get a big twin Baker six speed for a bike older than I am. But the sporty 6 speed kit has been discontinued since the liquid cooled sportys came out
