is highway racing still a thing in japan? and im talking real high speed A to B, not just pulls

Not really
The midnight club does track stuff and non racing events these days.
You can't get away with that shit like you could 30 years ago.
Your license plate is tracked everywhere.

yeah but pretty sure the "midnight club" is just the most famous team, im sure there's a lot of smaller teams... Or at least im sure there were in the 90s and 00s

I raced down the 101 freeway today.
Got off bell rd.
Got some Burger King.
Raced home again.
Vroom.
Ate
Watched housewives.
Took a shower.
Now in bed.

Vroom.

What car?

Which game?

Who asked?

iirc the Expressway tolls will measure your average speed over distance so racing is a great way to find the police at your door in the morning

Japan's highways are pretty heavily policed nowadays. Speed cameras everywhere and even ones that measure the time you were last clocked to tell if you're racing. Japan cracked down very hard on street shenanigans but on the plus side race tracks are also a lot more accessable over there due to the relatively small size of the country's land mass.
