Anybody here have any experience with living in their car while traveling? I'm going to be traveling across the country in a few months and I'm trying to make a good setup for the back of my Rav4 but I keep seeing what seems like ads for these foldable bedframe/storage things. Is there something I'm missing with these? It seems impractical in the sense that you lose what little headroom you already have if you want to sit up and the storage requires you to get out and go all the way to the back of the vehicle and open the door to access it.Is there any reason I should consider getting one of these instead of just getting a single trifold mattress and having storage on the side of it?Any other tips would be appreciated as well as this is my first time making a trip like this.
>>28932000You don’t need that storage trust. Also if you’re going solo think about the footprint of a sleeping bag itself, rather than needing a twin sized unoccupied area. Do not get a folding mattress. Go to ikea get an oversized full or twin mattress and cut it to size. Your storage and yourself should be able to find space to sleep. Also keep in mind when you’re sleeping stuff kept on the mattress can be moved to the front seats during schleepie times. Side note: Dwelling is peak for periods under a month, long term wears you down in ways you didn’t know you could be.
