The Forrester is a little larger then the Crosstrek and the Outback is a little larger still. Any of them would fit the bill deciding on how big a vehicle you wanted. The Ascent would probably be larger than what you want.I drive a 2011 Outback with the 3.6R H6 engine and a traditional 6 speed automatic. They made those up until 2014 when they switched over to CVT transmissions. If you're looking for a used car those are great, they give you good power and they're not so big that they aren't easy to park. If you're looking for a newer one I'd go for at least a 2020, the first few years of CVT transmissions weren't great. The newer ones are better; but I'd still prefer a traditional automatic. If you want a traditional automatic you could look at some of the Mazda SUV offerings those are pretty solid and Mazda refuses to use CVTs.

>>28933111Do not fucking get a Slowbaru. They are unacceptably slow, first thing you'll notice when you test drive one. The CVT is so loud it's bound to cause hearing problems if you do repeated highway commutes. They've somehow made a vehicle that's totally inappropriate, way too fucking loud and slow, and it's all their models except the 6 cylinders and turbos, which still fucking have defending CVTs.Get a Goyota if you're ok with the cost and extra complexity of a hybrid (you will pay more and never save any money, then get fucked in the end with higher devaluation or thousands having to replace the batteries). Mazda is the only company making acceptable crossovers and they have their own plethora of issues still. The car market is sad, like many things in this dead society.
