same in my lexus. the oil filter, on the other hand:

>remove intake manifold support bracket
>remove oil filter
>use lots of brake cleaner and rags to clean up all the engine oil which was just spilled onto the engine mount, front subframe, rear undertray and steering rack
>install new oil filter
>install intake manifold support bracket
>install front undertray

Filters here last 5+ years as well.
Not like Cali where filters get clogged in 6 months.
