I take my car to the track. That puts me in a different league than the rest of you. While you're out there COPING that a twisty backroad or a parking lot autocross makes you skilled, I'm running real laps on a real circuit. It’s like bragging about a first kiss while someone else is having sex. You’re missing a fundamental piece of the car experience. And for that reason I'm simply better than you.
I have a Kia. It has no place at the track.
>>28936951You have my deepest condolences.
>>28936948i take my car out to the track and do one whole lap around the parking lot them go home>>28936951some of the most fun you can have is pushing a car to do things it was never really designed to do
>>28936948Man you're at the track driving like a bitch and I'm sideways on the street you limp wristed auto only faggot
>>28936948That's neat op you should take it one step further and do some amateur racing with me. Point bys will never be satisfying again.
Tracking a car doesn't make you a better road driver and vice versa. I personally can't be fucked to pay a couple hundred to find out how slow I go while pajeet and ling long decide open track day = Daytona 500 and decide the best place to make up for a 5 second gap between you and them will be made in the braking zone
>>28936988What kind of racing is that?Open cockpits are primo shit.Cool stuff.
>No tracks for small bore racing other than shitty rental kartsIt hurts.
>>28937004Formula Continental. Tube frame cars same as formula ford but 2.0L engine, wings, diffuser, slicks. They're pretty affordable to race if you have a little spare income and a garage to keep one in.
Every day I brave the I-4 corridor and the lobotomized hive mind of tourists, boomers, and brown people. Every time I pull out of the driveway I'm placing my life on the line. I hone my split second reaction when I'm run off the highway 80mph by a fully loaded 53' flatbed, narrowly avoiding a sideswipe in bumper to bumper in 90° heat on a backed up interchange, braking just in time when I'm cut off by a car that was behind me but must absolutely turn right at that exact time. When it rains, that gauntlet is turned up to 11. I'm in real world conditions, no second the same, ever changing. My circuits are every where and span counties. You're bragging about having sex with men, while I'm filling up your mom and every woman in your entire extended family. Hah, need I say more? You simply don't rate.
i drive faster on public roads than you do on the track haha
>>28936986nah, its a crossover, its not meant to take turnsits meant to have decent clearance for rough roads and hold a lot of stuff for its small size and it does those thingsI don't want to stress the engine, transmission, brakes, etc, any more than I already am track-running is just speeding your car towards an early death, if you are rich enough to do this shit, buy a toy like>>28937013
>>28937134>nah, its a crossover, its not meant to take turnsthat just makes it even more funok maybe not in a crossover because rollover. but sending a land yacht is some of the most fun you can have in a car
>>28936988 I saw you at the Ridge Motorsports Park last year. Next time, maybe I'll rape your cute twink ass.
>>28937188>ok maybe not in a crossover because rolloversee I told youits fwd the handling is tuned for 100% neutrality at the limit, it isn't fun at allI had an audi wagon years ago, that was fun to hoon about, more than the BMW cuz it was less clinical and precise kias are joyless, you just have to accept them as they are
>>28937013You run an old SOHC pinto, right? What sort of power are you making. In my experience 120 is comfy, 150 is hot, 170 is damn nigga just get a Zetec/ Duratec and 200 is lying shit talk.
>>28936948>shit post bait #2
>>28937097Kek. It's comments like these that keep me coming back to this cesspool of a website.
>>28937097based >>28936948anons who make track days their identity are basically equivalent to those guys who collect loot crate manbox funko pop chud crates
>>28937217Exactly 150 at the crank according to the engine builder.
>>28937340Oh my God why do people do this?Awesome racecar built around such a garbage 'enigne' this shit gets me so mad. The over support of bull shit parts is so induriating
>>28937340haha look at that dirty old pintostupid boomers, what point is there still running those old dino motors when twin cam 4v efi engines go the scrapper in droves every single day
>>28936948More like you're fucking your girl regularly, and I'm getting action(not always sex)from different girls regularly. We're both having a great time, and I'm happy for you man. >>28937000Are you seriously complaining about someone driving as quickly as possible on track?>>28937340Lmao check out king of the short bus over here
You guys should see the boomer shitstorms whenever changing the formula is mentioned. Someday I'll upgrade to Zetec or MZR, but I'm kind of waiting to see what direction the formula goes because it will probably cost like $12k+ to do the upgrade. Luckily I have a modern chassis so I don't have to do any crazy modifications, the newer engines will just drop in with factory parts. But Zetec is also old and out of production and currently the MZR is only allowed in a spec config from the ex-USF2000 cars, which is silly because I have an otherwise identical chassis to those, late model Van Diemen. Or maybe we'll get some modern Honda motor or something. I don't wanna drop all the money just to have the new "it" thing be something else ya know. And the Pinto is perfectly suitable for my use case of farting around at the club level shit in my region.
>>28937340>pretty affordable
>>28936948You go to the track to vroom to satisfy your /o/tismI go to the backroads to vroom to feel freeWe are NOT the same
>>28936948God damn... It must suck to so insecure that you have to brag about this anonymously to strangers that don't know you or care what you're doing.
>>28937401Pintos were fine a hundred years ago when they were cheap/abundant, DOHC was considered exotic and expensive, and racing tyres had the approximate compound of a modern forklift tyre.... but surely that is depressingly gutless with any sort of high performance tyre in 2026....I can only imagine how hard it would bog if you accidentally put it into a little slide.
>>28937531The pinto revs quicker which makes it feel a bit more racey. We are allowed a lighter flywheel. But you do have to be right on with the gearing if you want to be competitive against the dohc efi cars, the low end torque they have makes up for a lot. The current boomer lore is that theoretically with every allowed upgrade (including the long rods which I don't have) a perfectly geared pinto car is faster than a zetec/mzr. That's with a max prep car where the team brings a spare engine to the track and rebuilds every 20 hours or something. Problem is such a car doesn't exist because everyone with money has a newer engine and everyone with a pinto races at my peasant tier budget lol. Some guy did it in formula f last year and won the runoffs with a kent, beating the new dohc efi honda powered cars. For an amateur I think it is more worthwhile spending that money on upgrading to the new engine purely for reliability and to maximize time between rebuilds.
>>28937228Fucking thisAnons are all retarded faggots who don't read file names.
