Not usually. I'm running big ol mud tires on farm pickups though and overloading the shit out of them daily....

Same car, same driving style:
Summer tires last me 10k and cost well over $1k each time.
"High-performance" all-seasons last me 60k and cost $500 installed.
You can do stunts with all-seasons, too.

Treadwear is what matters. Tires with high treadwear are boring and don't grip. Spend the money, you're supposed to be an auto enthusiast.
