Does this strike you as a luxury interior?
>>
>>28938265
No, it doest have enough screens. It needs at least an150% increase in screen space.
>>
>>28938265
Compared to other EVs it looks, maybe not luxury, but atleast premium
>>
>>28938271
Have you seen the new MB C- class electric? Pretty cool
>>
>>28938265
Imagine how ugly it looks outside
>>
>>28938265
impressively low gloss surfaces, but black interiors are boring. it needs blue or green or tan, probably not red since it doesn't feel like a red interior kind of car
>>
>>28938265
>Capacitive touch buttons everywhere
>Big ipad-on-dash look
Hard no. Looks like a cheap Chinese EV
>>
The tz isn't really a "luxury car" just because it's made by Lexus. It's only supposed to be around 65-70k which makes it about the same price as a EV9, so it's about as luxurious as a well optioned Kia
>>
>>28938265
As always it looks uncanny unnatural and undesirable. Say what you want about toyota motors but they're definitely consistent
>>
>>28938385
luxury is about space and grace not the amount of buttons on the side of your seat
>>
>>28938414
>space and grace
and rhyming. But no worries, by that definition, the lexus still isn't luxury. Keep trying
>>
>>28938420
lexuses simply aren't attractive. the only nice looking car they built was the original LS400.
>>
>>28938423
Nailed it. The people that buy their cars need to be told like it, and it's such a hilarious humiliation ritual watching these people put effort and pay premiums to drive something so hideous
>>
>>28938265
Nothing kills interiors faster than a black spec. Get that in brown or cream and it would be quite nice I think.
>>
>>28938265
>OH MY SCIENCE IS THAT A INFOTAINMENT SCREEN!
>WOW IT'S JUST LIKE MY IPAD, THIS IS THE BEST LUXURY CAR OF ALL TIME
If Europe can do one thing good, it should be to ban screen-infotainments

Nissan econoboxes now have a better interior than "luxury" brands.

L E X U S makes me want to vomit. In my eyes, they have totally abandoned their conservative + overbuilt design philosophy. They used to be based, tragic.

toyota is so fucking retarded. they're ditching ice when europe and america are going back to it because evs fucking suck, and they're adopting screens everything when everyone else is returning to buttons because screens fucking suck.

these fucking japs. they sit it committee and take so long to do anything and by the time they make 'the best decision' after extended consultation with themselves, the market has already changed and they get left behind once more.

akio becoming chairman and the lexus dude becoming ceo has apparently achieved nothing. the gr gt is only interesting thing they've got going but for that they've dropped to 4l, ditched the 5l na v8, ditched the lc500 and lexus is basically an electric brand now. fuck them, they're just fucking retarded.
>>
>>28938385
this is another japanese thing and seiko has the same problem with its watches. they keep fucking up market placement, because they design in committee and just put things places. micromanaging while losing sight of the total picture. that's why grand seiko makes thousand dollar watches and $50,000 watches and no one knows the difference because they're all just thrown together in teh same catalog and all look kinda the same.
>>
>>28938271
I mean, apart from the screens.
forgot to add
it weighs 6000 lbs
and goes 250 mi on a charge
>>
no!
>>
>>28938265
No. At first glance I thought it was a Honda.
>>
>>28938414
Okay it has the same space and grace as a Kia too
>>
>>28939492
All Kia has to do is be less shitty than Toyota, and they are succeeding.
>>
>>28939493
You're speaking in relative terms, and the gooks are still worse, much worse even though they both have time bomb engines
>>
>>28939500
um no, the interiors and featureset of korean cars is far nicer than toyotas
toyota factually uses cheaper plastics for the smae price points than korean models do
>>
>>28939493
Okay you're missing the point so I'll break it down.
People are complaining that it didn't look like a "luxury car interior" because they envision expensive 100k+ cars when they think luxury car. Lexus is considered to be a luxury car brand because they produce some expensive 100k+ cars like the LS and LC and LX. But the TZ doesn't have the interior these people think it should have because it's not a 100k+ luxury car. It's a 60k electric crossover. So the interior is about what you would expect for a 60k electric crossover, despite the fact that the brand also produces more luxurious cars
Kia is irrelevant. It was just a comparison as being one of the only other full size 3 row electric crossovers
>>
>>28939505
>for the same price points
because toyota is overrated, overpriced shit and the gooks flood markets with cheap junk through aggressive free trade deals, that's how that qualifier works
>>
>>28939514
>But the TZ doesn't have the interior these people think it should have because it's not a 100k+ luxury car.
>despite the fact that the brand also produces more luxurious cars
It's pretty obvious that Toyota has no idea what the fuck they even want Lexus to be anymore.
>>
>>28940953
>what the fuck they even want Lexus to be anymore.
I think they have a pretty good idea. They want it to be the same thing it's been since 1998 when they introduced the RX and IS. The vast, overwhelmingly vast majority of Lexus sales are their entry level reskinned Toyota cars.

Chrysler K cars in the 80's had way nicer interiors. This is simply tragic.
It tracks though. Judging by the effective inflation rate since early '20 (~150%), a well-optioned '85 reliant K would cost about 50 grand today.
>>
>>28941067
That's '70s econobox-tier and disgusting. This is your brain on Chrysler.
