In /g/ we have this meme of using business laptops like Lenovo Thinkpads[1][2], especially the older models, because they are
>durable
>reliable
>cheap
>repairable
>upgradable
>units and parts easily found in used marketplaces
>good/acceptable performance
>good ergonomics
>gives you status as a /g/entleman and not an iToddler
>etc

Basically the antithesis of everything wrong with modern laptops and technology, resembled in Macbooks and everything Apple.

So, what is the thinkpad of cars, that is not a Terrorist(tm) truck, or a tinker-tranny[3] car, that can be used as a daily driver?

>[3]: One who tinkers for the sake of tinkering, usually resulting in a non functional system, or at best an overly engineered system with diminishing returns. Mainly practiced because of the absence of a real life or a job. Highly associated with trannies for obvious reasons.

Volvo Wagon. The Bricks. This was a short thread.

Go back to /g/.
P.S. It's the exact terrorist truck you're thinking of.

This. Also, it's not a meme if it works.

MX5 is probably the closest equivalent.

>x200
Neat. Still got my x230t as my travel laptop.

Honestly, nothing particularly old will fit exactly as there is much more competition and less corporate adoption in automotive spaces. Look at the stuff used for taxis, fleet and government cars. That's not a bad equivalent.

Chevrolet Express. Can do it all, and has done it all for three decades with little to no change in design, save for a more powerful motor under the hood (Just like the Thinkpad you can buy with a modern CPU that looks just like a model from the '90s).
Parts? Upgrades? Cheap? Reliable? Durable? Widespread? Yes to all.

Honda Civic. Just like ThinkPads, they pump out new ones regularly, and they are not as nice aesthetically compared to their late 90s and early 2000s models.

>>28940636
kek, this is the best comparison. /tpg/ on /g/ is just like /hg本田/ on /o/.
