>>28942086The Mustang DTM is pretty radically different from a dark horse.The bmw situation is different since all of their cars are really commuter dialer driver platforms that are ‘tuned’ by M for track use. They weren’t even legal for racing without a waiver until the mid 2020s. The Z4 was radically different but the M4 and M6 and M8 were taken off the line and built and finished as GT3 cars. The Mustang Dark horse is supposedly the GT3 equivalent but the reality is that the DTM IS closest and it has a totally different engine mount location and a transaxle and better suspension. I think it’s cool ford is finally making the effort but it’s also not like a mustang you can buy is really related at all to the GT3 version the way a 911, M4, R8 or 296 are.The Audi R8 was basically 95% of what the gt3 version was, even the engine. Mustang just isn’t on that level.
