Looking at a 23’+ Colorado z71I really like this truck. The mid size is perfect and I need a mid size bed. Considering putting out 40k for the top trim and to have a truck. Ventilated seats are a must in my climate. Anything I need to know about this engine/model?
Make sure you get the V8
Ventilated seats are useless btw. I've had 3 different cars with them and it's never been worth it. Especially considering the technology is locked behind a leather/vinyl seat which ends up being worse than just having cloth seats and no vent. That's what I have right now and have no desire to go back

>>28940815Chevies burn oil and die around 100k miles. Worst put together vehicles I've every driven, the driving experience feels like shit.
>>28940928My 2016 Acura MDX has cooled seats and I feel them every summer. It’s a game changer. Get a mechanic to look at yours, something is wrong. Or you’re dumb.
>>28940933They don’t make any models with ventilated seats.
>>28940815>only comes with turbo 4 banger>buying the first iteration of a new redesign>common complaints from owners are electrical and infotainment problemsUltimately dude, if you want it and you really like it, get it. They’re not bad trucks, but I’m personally not a fan of the engine (I’m a V6 guy for midsized trucks) Make sure you’re getting a certified used from a dealer, if possible, in case it does have gremlins.pic unrelated
>>28940928ventilated seats are broken in my car :( luckily im not a fat fuck so i dont need them :)
How much you mawfuggas be fartin' tho???
>>28940960Yeah bro I'm sure all 3 cars just coincidentally had seats that somehow still worked but just didn't work properly even though they were all made be different makers and two were brand newCouldn't possibly be that they just don't provide a useful function and what little cooling they do provide is more than offset by the scorching hot leather cooking in the heat for hours
>>28941137Sounds like a you problem, they work great in the cars I've drivenAre you fat enough to block off all the vents?
>>28941146>Sounds like a you problem, they work great in the cars I've drivenI never said they didn't work. They work perfectly. What they do sucks.>Are you fat enough to block off all the vents? The fatter the person the more benefit they would get from it because they would cover up every single vent and feel the maximum amount of air possible. Are you somehow skinny enough that you don't actually touch the seat at all when you're driving, like the force of the air is enough to physically lift your body up and off the seat? Because yeah if that's how thin I need to be for them to work properly then I guess I must be too fat
>>28941146Not that guy but I’m like a 120lb skeleton and I’ve never noticed much of a difference with those things, mostly just a gimmick even in 110 degree days. Just blows hot air up your thighs unless it’s the sort on a S class that has actual cooling. Definetly wouldn’t spend tens of thousands on a fucking 4 cylinder pickup truck just because it has computer fans under the seat cushion lol. Get a 2010s Tacoma or something
>>28941137>just didn't work properlyRTFMholy crap dude
>>28941160Huh, I've never driven or seen anything with seats that just has fans but aren't cooled.
>>28940981Nice, but..This was better.
>>28941137>even though they were all made be different makersChances are they're all using OEM parts from Marelli
>>28941173Ford needs to do something with that engine
>>28941169>rftm>"push the on button to turn it on"yeah probably user errorAlso I said multiple times that it's not that they don't work. They just suck. A thing can work 100% as intended and just provide a useless function.
>>28941191>Also I said multiple times that it's not that they don't work. They just suck.Just for giggles:Enumerate each vehicle.I'd like to research the topic, since I've never had them either.
>>28941189>Ford needs to do something with that engineTotally agree.Even if they had to offer it AT COST, it would sell like hotcakes.Too bad they pulled the plug on it in 2022, and instead pissed away money on the stupid Mustang Mach-E
>>28941137Makes my back cold and I have to turn them off after a while. Go see a doctor. You prolly have a hormone deficiency or diabeetus.
>>28941214Explain to me exactly how "a hormone deficiency or diabeetus" would make it so I think ventilated seats are overrated. If I had some issue regulating my own body temperature, wouldn't that mean that I would benefit the most from them because I needed the extra external cooling? Wouldn't I be even more uncomfortable in cloth seats with just the air conditioner?
>>28941233This is a car forum, not an I’m a dumbass who failed grade school health class forum. hormone deficiencies or imbalances, such as those involving the thyroid or adrenal glands, can significantly increase an individual's sensitivity. It wouldn’t benefit you in any way, in fact it would create this scenario you’re describing. Hormone deficiencies and imbalances significantly impair the body's ability to cool down and regulate temperature, primarily through reduced metabolic efficiency, altered blood flow, and disrupted neural signaling. They do cool you down and at a faster rating being hit with ac from the front and back. Go see a doctor.
>>28941237>Hormone deficiencies and imbalances significantly impair the body's ability to cool down and regulate temperatureOkay, so......If I had some issue regulating my own body temperature, wouldn't that mean that I would benefit the most from them because I needed the extra external cooling? Wouldn't I be even more uncomfortable in cloth seats with just the air conditioner?Or are you just going to chatgpt some more
>>28941137> the scorching hot leather cooking in the heat for hoursAre for real!?!?If you have cooled seats you have fucking REMOTE START!!! Your vehicle should never be hot by the time you get in. You are beyond fucking stupid.
>>28941243How the fuck should you know??? Are you a doctor? You’re the moron saying ventilated seats don’t do anything for you. If you have a healthy body then you’re brain dead.
>>28940815>it needs ventilated seats!!!This is one reason why cars are so fucking expensive now. 30 years ago, everyone was riding around in hot places like Texas and Arizona and the average vehicle didn't even have AC. Now zoom-zooms needs every car on the road, including trucks and econoboxes, to have 1000's of dollars of comfort features so they can feel properly pampered 24/7. Sickening tbch.
If you get a colorado, make sure its silver and you name it Silver-rado
>>28941866if you buy a new car and are willing to pay extra in depreciation, you should get a better product than a used car. not that weird to expect nicer shit
>>28941872“Color”rado ?Like a Redrado or Whiterado.
>live in death valley>buy car with leather seatsJust get cloth, homie. You won't need all these meme technologies. They're dumb and make your ass feel wet anyways, why would you even want that?
>>28941983Remote startVentilated seatsLuxury is lost with you poors.
>>28942034>my luxury anon, i needs itIf you wanted luxury, you wouldn't be in the market for chevy's most bitch basic mexican landscaper truck, but sure, buy what you want
