I switched from a regular 4cyl to a hybrid 4cyl and it made me a polite driver. I'm my old accord if I brisky accelerated and drove a bit dickish I got 23mpg, and if I drove politely I got 24mpg. Highway speed didn't seem to matter that much either, 60mph vs 75mph like 2mpg.Then when I got my hybrid, driving like a dick gets me 30mpg, driving normally gets me 40mpg and driving like an old fart gets me 45mpg. Doing 55mph gets me 40mpg while doing 70mph gets me 35.Having a real-time fuel gauge is killer too. I can see my average km/L drop from 5.6 to 5.7 to 5.8 flooring it from 0-60mph, and then it takes hours of polite grandpa driving to get back to 5.6.I used to feel bad almost every day, like "I did bad things on the road", but now I don't have them because I'm driving nicely for mpg
