This van has 200k miles on it but looks and sounds clean. Was driven by a bowling team cross country. Am I retarded for wanting to buy this for 5k? Is this thing going to just be a headache? I think I want it but maybe I should just buy a reliable compact bucket instead. I’m likely about to get divorced and if I lose the house maybe I could live in this thing. Live that Uncle Rico van life
>>28942966Maybe put that cash towards a decent lawyer, so the ex doesn't completely financially assrape you?
>>28942966low miles, clean van, whats the issue?
>>28942966Why do people willingly choose to get married again? what compels someone to say, "I love you so much, i'm going to sign a contract that allows you to ruin me in the invent we have even the slightest indifference towards each other".
>>28942966It is still a nice van if you eventually need to spend 10k on a new engine and transmission.
>>28942966I'd do it but I plan to live in a box van instead
>>28943068social peer pressure and low IQ.
>>28942966That looks like a 6 bolt half ton so it probably has a 4L60E. >>28943148An engine replacement is highly unlikely. My LQ4 has zero blow-by and burns no oil at 200k brutal miles. I've driven Expresses' with 4.8/5.3/6.0's with twice that mileage and they all ran fine. The transmission on the other hand is probably on borrowed time.
>>28942966200k us nothing for this thing, however I suggest you max out your credit lines and move to Columbia for at least next 5-7 years.>>28943068Out of normieism and desperation.
>>28943068Marriage makes sense if you have kids and own property and are getting married in service to providing the best environment for the success of your children. It also makes sense when you’re aged enough to have to worry about medical care and hospitalizations. If you don’t want kids or got married only because your boner made your heart go doki doki, and you’re not an older person in decrepit health (age for this depends on genetics, for some it’s 30, for some it’s 75), you’re an idiot.Don’t let blackpillers completely sour you on the idea if you fall into the correct category, however, most people don’t get divorced, the statistics are unreasonably grim because of the number of idiots who are not suited to married life but who get anxiety if they aren’t married, and rack up 5+ divorces. There are millions of these retards. In my DnD group, there are 6 of us who are all married, and 5 of us have kids. The 6th guy is currently on wife 4 (none of us are even 40 yet), so theoretically it looks like a 33% divorce rate (soon to be 44, dipshit is cheating, again), but it’s actually just one guy. You’d think that the women who he cheats on his current wife with would have the wisdom to know not to marry him, but they don’t.
>>28944313>Marriage makes sense if you have kids and own property and are getting married in service to providing the best environment for the success of your children. The license doesnt do anything for the environment the children are raised in, what a sad cope.
>>28944335> The license doesnt do anything for the environment the children are raised in, what a sad cope. No, but the tax system and the healthcare system are easier to navigate for a married couple with children than they are for two unmarried people living together and raising a family together. The system expects the default to be a married family unit and deviating makes your life harder. If you’re a noncustodial father, for instance, it takes an act of Congress to get to pick your kids up from school, even if you’re shacked up with their mother.
>>28944443So its about the tax system. If you're noncustodial, you'd be divorced anyways.
Maybe get an electric van so when youre camping like a creep in walmart you can say you are charging your house and its gonna take a huwhile
>>28944443And without a piece of paper with the judges still wet signature they can issue an amber alert and plaster your face on all forms of media for any reason, especially if your 0.1 nanosecond "late".Tell the rest of the truth, anon...
>>28944483> you're noncustodial, you'd be divorced anyways.Wrong, most divorced fathers have at least some custodial rights. It’s still difficult to deviate from the schedule you set up with the school if life gets in the way of adherence to the schedule you set with them at the beginning of the year if you’re a shared custody parent. But if you’re just a baby-daddy with no paperwork except a birth certificate, you’re non-custodial in the eyes of The Man, even if the woman and the child are living with you. And even if they are staying in housing you provide, that doesn’t matter to the state, and will not be factored into your child support payments. It’s all easier when she’s your wife and not your baby-momma.
