So what's the deal with e15?Is it good or bad?https://thehill.com/opinion/energy-environment/5871875-nationwide-e15-sales-bill
>>28944265You made this thread on /pol/ too. Kys.
>>28944269Pretty sure i didn't. Is e15 going to be damaging to our vehicles?
>>>/pol/534946946
>>28944265Is E15 even bad?Sure old cars don't like ethanol. But we have had ethanol proof fuel lines and carburator rebuild kits since the mid 2000s
>>28944349>"I enjoy being a sucker because my hole was already pre-lubed"
>>28944439I just don't think this ha anything to do with anal rape anon.E85 is fucking awesome, but there's no gas stations around me that carry it.I'd run a 13:1 LS 440ci V8 if I had e85 available.
Corn is heavily lobbied for and even subsidized by the US government. That same corn lobby forces it into gasoline during the 70s gas crisis, because entire farms rely on corn and their subsidies, no politician ever wants to take that welfare away from farmers.E15 is known to produce smog. Ethanol is less energy dense than gasoline but resists pre-detonation allowing for much higher compression. Ethanol is a known corrosive. Even stuff designed for "flex fuel" breaks down because of the ethanol. Ethanol is also hydroscopic. If you live in a humid place just a couple months of gas in a gas can will get water in it. Yeah, its not good.
>>28944450Clearly the point went over your sucka ass head. You don't want more ethanol. Period.
>>28944463Don't worry, anon. I lubed your mom's asshole before I fucked it.
>>28944463But E85 is based
>>28944265>it eats O-rings, gasgets and lines if they weren't designed to handle it. >it adsorbs water and turns into vinegar if it's exposed to air for a while. >the energy density is worse than regular gasoline so you get worse mileage. >it evaporates and leaves varnish that can clog needles and injections, potentially causing a lean mixture which can lead to knock and total engine death.>but it's got a higher octane rating so more boost, higher compression and aggressive timing, WOOO>RACE GAS>RACE GAS>RACE GAS
>>28944728If you need something between 93 and race gas go to your local airport shitstick. More ethanol in the gas means lower miles per gallon. It's also energy net negative using corn for ethanol fuel. Also monoculture agriculture is not good for the environment. Ethanol in the gas only and I mean only benefits the corn lobby. We are unironically inconveniencing the entire American populace on a daily basis to benefit like a few hundred people. I'd love to do something about it but I just end up dead or in jail and the NPCs would blissfully continue in their Skinner box prison.
>>28944780>IF YOU USE E85 YOUR CAR WONT MAKE IT TO 700000000000 milesI don’t plan on keeping it that long>YOU GET WORSE MPGThe cost around me offsets the loss in milage>THINK ABOUT THE POPR ENVIRONMENT AND THE HECKIN AMERICAN PEOPLEThe environment is already past the point of no return and my fellow Americans are scum that deserve to suffer
>>28944265>But actual testing of 20 late-model vehicles by the University of CaliforniaYeah, this dumb nigger needs to kill himself.
>he didn't buy a flex fuel carlel
Ethanol isnt gasoline.Carbs will run on it but for proper performance they'd have to be re-jetted.Vast majority of EFI compensates just fine.It (can) produce more power but has lower MPG- so cheaper by the gallon balances out when you have to fill up sooner.
>>28944780>go to your local airport shitstick.Nigga, I work on aircraft for a living.I'M ALWAYS NEXT TO AN AIRPORT!But I'm not paying $19 a gallon for aviation fuel.I'm just gonna buy 92 octane because that's when 99.99% of gas stations carry.
>>28944780100LL will clog cats because of the tetraethyl.
>>28944820>rapes your fuel lines and all diaphragms associated with your fuel system
>>28944780if you run straight av gas you will burn pistons, guy I knew was mixing it 4:1 with 87 and he still burned a hole in his c4.
>>28944265aldehydeshygroscopycorrosionis it good or bad?
>>28945786It wasnt the fuel. It was his tune.Aviation gas burns slower and cooler than automotive 87.
